The arguments that Orthodox Rabbinic Jewish scholars make attempting to disprove Yeshua’s divinity and Messiahship may appear clever and convincing on the surface, but upon closer examination they prove to be false and are easily refuted.
When one looks through the smoke and mirrors of human deceit, one will see that these Jewish antimissionary arguments are patently false and demonstrate a major degree of spiritual blindness. At the very least, they reveal a dishonesty and disingenuousness on the part of their proponents, and at the most, a gross lack of understanding of the Scriptures. This is because a spirit of blindness has fallen upon rabbinic Jews as the Bible states (Rom 11:25)
To the naive, uninformed, misinformed and those who are either neophytes in their understanding of the Scriptures, or who have lost their first love of Yeshua and have fallen away from him spiritually, the antimessiah arguments of the rabbinic Jews seem compelling and convincing. Yet, upon careful examinations, all of their arguments have only a thin veneer of truth. Upon closer examination, it is easily proven that they do not line up with the WHOLE truth of the Bible, nor do they, in many cases, even line up with what their own pre-Christian Jewish sages taught and believed about the Messiah and the messianic prophecies of the Hebrew Scriptures.
Sadly, I have found that these blind unbelieving Jewish guides prey upon weak or disillusioned Christians who don’t know their Scriptures. They are able to draw many lukewarm and deceived Christians into apostasy, even causing them to renounce their faith in Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of Elohim and who is Elohim incarnate (John 1:1, 14). This is tragic!
Below are some of the most common antimessiah arguments that rabbinic Jews make in order to disprove the validity of the gospel message and faith in Yeshua the Messiah. My answers are short and to the point. A whole article could be written answering each point. At the end of this brief study, I offer additional resources for those who want more information.
Rabbinic antimessiah statement: Elohim, the God of the Bible is one (Hebrew echad), not a Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Bible teaches the idea of monotheism, not polytheism as Christianity teaches in the doctrine of the trinity.
Response: The word echad in Hebrew means “a compound unity—or one thing that is comprised of several units that together make up the unified whole (like a bunch of grapes).” The hidden reality is that many rabbinic Jews believe that Elohim is composed of ten component parts as pictured by the mystical sephirotic tree.
Rabbinic antimessiah statement: Countless times the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament or Tankah) declare: “I am HaShem (YHVH or the LORD) your God (Elohim), outside of me there is no other!” Everything you pray to other than him becomes a god or idol before HaShem (YHVH). Are we currently witnessing a leftist revolution to take over America? If so, is this part of YHVH’s judgment against the United States for turning away from him spiritually? If so, what must we as the body of Yeshua do to prepare for the events to unfold and the new America that will emerge subsequent to this revolution?
I don’t use the term revolution flippantly. As an ardent student of history for 50 years, I have studied, in depth, several revolutions where societal minorities eventually gained power and influence and up-ended a nations social structure fundamentally changing them forever. This especially includes the American, French, Soviet, Fascist-Nazi, Chinese and Cuban revolutions.
There are revolutions that have had moral, Christian principles, more or less, driving them like the American Revolution. Then there are those revolutions that have been motivated by hatred of biblical values like the other revolutions mentioned. If a revolution is presently happening in America, its provocateurs are certainly not being motivated by a love for Elohim or the Bible—quite the contrary!
In the past, revolutions have been driven forward by small bands of rabble rousing agents of strife. Now they’re called community organizers. These thugs work overtime to stir up conflict between people, causing division and animus between various segments of society, and then use the conflict to their advantage to further the goals of their revolution.
The promulgation of propaganda plays a major role in revolutions. Many, if not most, of our major media outlets are pumping out much fake news, propaganda, innuendo, assumptions, biased opinions or even attempting to create news and calling it news in an attempt to sway public opinion toward the left. I can tell you as a former journalist (I studied journalism in high school and at two universities and was a reporter-writer for six newspapers including Oregon’s largest daily for a brief time), what passes for news today is, to a large degree, anything but fair, balanced and unbiased journalism as we were taught in J-school in my day.
Add to this the bands of masked street thug agitators (remember Hitler’s SA and Brown Shirts, the Bolsheviks, and let’s not forget about the French Revolution’s Committee for Public Safety that helped to enforce that revolution’s Reign of Terror where tens of thousands were murdered?) inciting riots and promoting violence, which is prevalent in all revolutions. Furthermore, who can not see the left pulling out all the stops to discredit and then to topple the presidency of of the US? How about the stifling of free speech (anything that doesn’t agree with the left is called hate speech) including the rewriting of history (toppling of statues—the modern day version of book burning). I could go on.
In all the revolutions mentioned above, a small minority of idealogues backed by their street thug enforcers with the help of the propagandists were successful in slowly and subversively turning the ship of state in their direction and then commandeering it entirely. This is a matter of historical record. The nations the leftists have taken over have never been the same since. With the exception of the American Revolution, every one has been driving by a satanic spirit of Antichrist and has been the enemy of the church.
In the article I wrote about ten years ago entitled, “Is America in End-Times Bible Prophecy?” (https://www.hoshanarabbah.org/pdfs/america.pdf), I predicted, based on my study of Bible prophecy, that a revolution would happen in America (and other western, formally Christian, nations) prior to the second coming of the Messiah. These events would be a result of our turning our back on Elohim and his Word—the Bible. This would be the Almighty spanking us spiritually to bring us back to him. I even foresaw the hand of Edom—the Islamists—role in this. Moreover, a couple years ago, I made a video saying that the Islamization of America and the West is Elohim’s judgment against the apostate church. Not only is Islam at the forefront of the move to revolutionize America (and the West), but the left has joined forces with Edom against anything that remains of Christianity in our nation. My predictions seemed far-fetched ten years ago, but not so now.
About four years ago, I made a video that predicted that the remnant church in America would be driven underground because of persecution. (I’ll put a link to it below.) That may have seemed like a far-fetched idea then, but not so much now.
America and the west is so asleep—if not dead spiritually (and this includes the church)—that only the greatest of persecutions will shock it out of its death sleep. Is it beginning to happen in front of our eyes? I’m wondering.
The great and innumerable multitude of Revelations 7:14 that comes out of the Great Tribulation has to come from somewhere! Am I saying that American and the West will have a major spiritual revival? Not exactly, but there will be those who will awaken spiritually out of it as a result. Perhaps this is the trial by fire that Yeshua refers to that the lukewarm believers of Laodicea have to go through to help awaken them spiritually (Rev 3:18).
If what I’m suggesting is true, this begs the question: So what’s next? What must we do to prepare?
You tell me. This watchman has been standing shouting on the wall for years to prepare in every way possible. What more is there to say?
This I know. As Winston Churchill said at the beginning of Britain’s war against Germany in his first speech to parliament in June, 1940 in his famous, “This was their finest hour” speech, will this be our finest hour?
Part of me wants to take my family and flee to Alaska and camp out when the you-know-what hits the fan. That’s the flesh in me. The spirit man in me realizes that faith must rise up. To live is Messiah; to die is gain, as Paul said. We must not love our lives unto death, as Yeshua said in Revelation 12. The gospel message is the thing the forces of Satan hate the most, and it’s our greatest weapon. Now is the time to get armed and dangerous for Yeshua! Now is the time to begin to pray for emboldened faith and to prepare our hearts and minds to be preachers of the gospel. You say “No I can’t.” I say, “Yes you can through Yeshua who will strengthen you and through whom all things are possible—the One who takes our weaknesses and turns them into strengths.” Your survival will depend on it! So now is the time for us all to gird up our loins and focus on Yeshua like never before and on becoming a dangerous and radical disciple—something we should have been doing all along anyway.
The Devil’s Original Lie and the Religion of the New World Order
We are presently watching unfolding before us an epic and cosmic struggle between the forces of evil and good. The world system or cosmos of the devil is pitted against the unalterable and immutable plans, purposes and Word of the sovereign Creator of the universe, YHVH Elohim.
At the center of this battle is man. He was created in the image of Elohim and destined to become a son of Elohim. The Adversary, on the other hand, wants to make man into his image—a son of perdition. Man has to choose whom he will follow. To sit on the sidelines, ignore the battle and not to choose is, by default, to choose the side of the devil. Man must carefully choose his course of action, for the consequences are eternal. Inaction—not to choose—is to ignore the battle and by default to choose the side of the devil.
That battle will reach its nexus at the end of the age, just prior to the return of the Messiah. Will man fall for the lies of the counterfeit Messiah, or remain faithful to the Truth and Word of the real Messiah? To resist the deceiver and not fall for his lies one must know the face of his enemy: his tactics, game plan and the nature of his deception. The lies he will use in the end times to woo the multitudes to his side are not new. The tactics and game plan are the same, for it has never changed from the beginning. What are the lies he will use to seduce man to his side of this struggle? When did the deceiver first ply his trade? The answers are in the Book of Life.
The Big Lie and Its Origin—The Scriptures Speak of a “Lie”
There are those who turn from the revealed truth of Elohim and turn to believing a lie as Romans 1:24–25 states:
Wherefore Elohim also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of Elohim into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen
The Man of Sin/Lawlessness will cause many to turn from YHVH’s truth and believe a lie as 2 Thessalonians 2:7–12 states:
For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now restrains will do so, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom YHVH shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause Elohim shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Outside of the New Jerusalem will be those wicked ones who believe a lie as the Book of Revelation states:
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes a lie, but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Rev 21:27)
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie. (Rev 22:14–15)
The primary meaning of these passages is referring to those who have exchanged the truth of YHVH for a lie. But what lie? Who did Yeshua say was the father of lies (John 8:44)? The devil is, of course. So, ultimately all lies that humans believe had to have originate from those lies the devil through the serpent told the first humans in the Garden of Eden.

Why are Satan and his demons so murderously opposed to the saints of Elohim? This is, in part, because Elohim also refers to his people as el and elohim or mighty ones. Yeshua confirms this when quoting this scripture in John 10:34–35 as he applies the term elohim to YHVH’s own saints.
God [elohim] stands in the congregation of the mighty [el]; He judges among the gods [elohim]. How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Selah. Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked. They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are unstable. I said, “You are gods [elohim], and all of you are children of the Most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” Arise, O God [elohim], judge the earth; for You shall inherit all nations. (Ps 82:1–8)
This is an amazing truth! YHVH Elohim who created man in his very own image (Gen 1:26) wants his redeemed saints to become like him as children of Elohim (1 John 3:1–3; John 1:12), although they will never be equal to him (Isa 43:10–11; 41:4; 44:6–8). This is an honor and a position that he will not hand out willy-nilly to anyone and everyone who self-identify as “saints.” At this point, we most soberly consider the words of Yeshua in Matt 7:21–23.
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Before YHVH confers upon his saints the gift of immortality as sons of Elohim, he will first test and judge his people—his righteous elohim who are part of his congregation—(“judgement begins first at the house of Elohim”; 1 Pet 4:17) to determine their level of righteousness (“the righteous are scarcely saved”; 1 Pet 4:18) to determine if they are worthy of the honor of being called “the sons of Elohim.” In the days prior to the second coming, he will even send his saints strong delusion to determine how loyal they are to his truth (2 Thess 2:11–12). Many so-called saints who haven’t placed a high enough value on YHVH’s truth will fall away spiritually (2 Thess 2:3) becoming victims to the deluding and lying signs and wonders of the spirit of lawlessness (or Torahlessness) of the satanic end times Man of Sin (2 Thess 2:5–10).
Elohim will use the idol-gods/elohim in the heart and minds of his people to rise up in judgment against his saints. That which they fear other than Elohim will be their testing point (Isa 66:4 cp. Jer 5:19 and 2 Thess 2:11, 2–12 for context). Will they fear, obey and trust Elohim and fear their idols more?
In the mean time, YHVH Elohim is currently knocking on the door of the house of the saints both collectively and individually to awake them out of their spiritual slumber in an effort to incite them to repent of their lukewarmness (Rev 3:20 and verses 14–21 for context). Those who refuse to awaken from their spiritual lethargy he will spank with the spiritual paddle of the demon-gods, false elohim through persecution and tribulation of the saints. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken (Heb 12:25–29). The Bible refers to this as the Great Tribulation (Matt 24:21; Rev 7:14 cp. 2:22). Many of these sleeping saints will repent and be spiritually refined and brought back to him “out of [the] great tribulation” of the last days (Rev 7:13–14).
As YHVH Elohim used the demon gods or elohim, evil Baal spirits of ancient Babylon in the past to punish his people for their spiritual lassitude and declension, he will use the demonic entities of Mystery Babylon the Great to do the same in the last days as a giant paddle applied to the collective posteriors of his lukewarm and backslidden saints. He will then brake the paddle of Babylon over his knee and destroy that antichrist system (Rev 18:2, 21), even as he raised up and then destroyed ancient Babylon in the past.
Even now, the evil spirits or demon-elohim are being loosed on this earth in these last days to bring about an antichrist world system and to torment and persecute YHVH’s saints who oppose this system and who will be the righteous elohim to replace the demonic and rebellious elohim.
We see the manifestation of these false demon elohim being loosed on the earth and manifested clearly in front of our eyes in the following areas:
Antichrist spirit: Islam (a demonic spirit predicated on killing, stealing, destroying, lying and sexual perversion).
Spirit of Torahlessness in the mainstream church and throughout our society.
Deluding spirits of Bible teachers who are taking our focus off centrality of gospel message as Yeshua commanded his disciples to preach and as apostles carried forth.
Spirit of anger among people in general.
Spirit of sexual perversions—especially being foisted upon our young people.
Spirit of pharmakeia (drugs) being mainstreamed and encouraged behind the scenes by big government to enslave the masses and turn them into easily controlled zombies and idiots, doped up an addicted druggies (through both prescription and illegal drugs), and vaccines and chemical additives to foods that poison and weaken people by turning healthy people into sickly people (e.g. vaccines, food additives, GMOs, geo-engineering or aerosol spraying, etc.)
The blurring of lines between the genders, so that men are acting like and taking on the appearance and lifestyles of women and vice versa.
The mindless addiction of many people to entertainment such as sports, video games, movies and music and all the ungodly filth that comes through these vehicles.
The rise in the proliferation of witchcraft and satanism and eastern religious ideas lacing movies, music, education, entertainment.
Pornography which is easily accessible and destroys lives, marriages and families.
The sexualization of young children including imposing the perversions of homosexuality and transgenderism upon them through the influences of the education system and entertainment e.g. the film industry, YouTube, social media, contemporary music).
The rise in global terrorism.
The rise in big brother statism its control over the populace.
The rice of the police state and government surveillance.
The loss of privacy.
The interconnectedness of big business and government elites to control the masses and to create a world wide Luciferian-oriented spiderweb over everyone in an effort to social engineer people toward their demonic vision of utopia on earth.
And the list goes on and on as to Satan is tightening his evil noose around the collective neck of humanity.
What can the saints do in response to this tidal wave of evil that is sweeping across the planet and engulfing everything, or descending that is descending upon the earth like a giant, sticky spider web?
For those of us living in prosperous and relatively stable societies, it’s easy to forget the words of Yeshua’s apostle in 2 Peter 3:1–18,
1 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Master and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of Elohim the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with YHVH one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Master and Savior Yeshua the Messiah. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amein.
It’s only natural for each of us to think that we’re pretty okay spiritually. This is our normal mental default mode. So did the Laodiceans in Rev 3. But what really matters is what YHVH thinks about us. He’s the Lawgiver and the Righteous Judge. That’s the most important thing, since he’s the one to whom every knee will ultimately bow. He’s the only one who can grant eternal life.
The prophecies of the Bible will come to pass…sometime. There will be a generation that will see them fulfilled. This includes all the less popular prophecies! It’s safe to say that when these prophecies begin to come to pass, most people will be so caught up in the day to day affairs of life that they will be oblivious to them. This is the normal state of things. In the days of Noah, it was life as usual, until the flood came and washed them all away. The same thing will happen in the last days (Luke 17:26). Most people will be blind to what is really happening spiritually around them. This is because their time is consumed with raising their families, building their careers, preparing for retirement or their next vacation. The saints, on the other hand, are called to be children of the light, not darkness (1 Thess 5:1–9). Light is a biblical metaphor for YHVH’s divinely revealed truth including his Torah instructions in righteousness and following and obeying Yeshua who is the Living Torah Word of Elohim and the spiritual light of the world.

I remember that back in the 1990s, according to the Voice of the Martyrs, the number of Christians martyred each year worldwide for their faith was around 50,000. The number is about double that now. Revelation 6:9 describes the fifth seal and the martyrdom of saints in the last days. Revelation 7:14 mentions the great tribulation. Are we living in those days? 1 Christian killed for their faith every 6 minutes in 2016 – study
Ninety thousand Christians were murdered for their faith around the globe this year, which amounts to one being killed every six minutes, Italy’s CESNUR religious study group said.
Christians are now the most persecuted religious group in the world, Massimo Introvigne, director of the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR), told Vatican Radio.
According to CESNUR statistics, around 500,000 Christians around the globe are unable to practice their faith completely freely, Introvigne said.
Seventy percent of the killings of Christians in 2016 occurred during tribal conflicts in Africa, he said, referring to data from the Center for the Study of Global Christianity.
The large number of deaths may be explained by the fact that many devoted Christians refuse to take up arms, he added.
The remaining 30 percent, or 27,000, lost their lives in terrorist attacks, the destruction of Christian villages, or persecution by the authorities, Introvigne said.
However, he said that the number of Christian killings has decreased, compared to 105,000 deaths in 2015.
The data in the report may be incomplete as it doesn’t include India and China, where the Christian community survives in secrecy, he added.
The religious study group is due to release the full statistics on Christian persecution in January.
Introvigne also said that the Catholic Church is currently considering sanctification for Christian individuals killed by terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Syria and Iraq.
Earlier this year, the Chaldean Bishop of Aleppo, Antoine Audo, said that during the five years of the Syrian conflict, the Christian population of the country had declined from 1.5 million to 500,000.
