The Seven Steps in Consecrating a Priest and the Royal Priesthood of the Believer

The Gospel Message in the Priestly Consecration Ritual
(from Exodus 28–29 ; Lev 8)

Now let’s note the seven steps of consecrating the priests and compare them with the steps a believer goes through to become a “chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a peculiar people that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1 Pet 2:9). Notice how these seven steps relate to the steps a new believer takes in his conversion process and how they relate to one’s spiritual journey from outside the mishkan where the altar of the red heifer is located representing the cross of Yeshua, then into the door of the tabernacle (i.e. Yeshua who is the door), to the altar of sacrifice (i.e. a prophetic picture of communion) to the bronze laver (i.e. immersion for the remission of sins and being washed in the water of the Word of YHVH), into the set-apart place where the Ruach (Spirit of Elohim) is and onward and upward spiritually into intimate relationship with the Father. In Exodus chapters 28 and 29 we find the following:

Step One: They were taken from among the children of Israel ( Exod 28:1). This prefigures divine election (see John 15:16). YHVH calls or chooses each person. Yeshua called his disciples. They did not call or choose him, but they had to respond to that call.

Step Two: They were brought into the door of the tabernacle (Exod 29:4). The door of the tabernacle is Messiah Yeshua who is the door to the sheepfold. No man comes to the Father except through Yeshua (John 10:1–5, 7, 9) The door is four colors which speak Continue reading

The Torah Origins of the Ordination Ritual

Exodus 28:41, Anoint them. Ordination is a religious ritual that YHVH instituted in the Torah when he charged Moses to lay hands upon Aaron and his sons as part of the process of consecrating them to the priesthood (Exod 28:41; 29:7; 30:30).

YHVH then instructed the Israelites themselves to lay hands on the Levites as part of the process of consecrating them to the Levitical service (Num 8:10). In addition, the kings of Israel were also anointed with oil (although hands were not imposed on them) to consecrate them for their kingly duties (e.g. 1 Sam 10:1; 16:13; 1 Kgs 1:39).

The laying on of hands or ordination is nothing more than earth’s confirmation of a heavenly calling. The biblical record clearly shows us that when ordinations occurred, Continue reading

Olive Oil and the Saint

Exodus 27:20–21, They shall bring pure oil. Olives, olive oil and the olive tree are very significant ancient biblical symbols. Most notably, olive oil was used for anointing and for burning in the seven-branched menorah—a picture of redeemed Israelite believers comprised of many different congregations (Rev 1:12–13). This olive oil was pure and the olives were beaten or pressed to produce oil for light (Exod 27:20).

How does this relate to the believer’s life, so that one can be the light of the world that Yeshua commanded us to be? (See Matt 5:14–16 cp. Acts 14:22; Rom 8:17; 2 Tim 3:12; 1 Pet 4:12–14; Jas 1:2–3.)

The priests attended to the menorah to keep it burning continually from evening till morning. This reminds us of Yeshua’s Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matt 25:1–13), where Yeshua’s exhorted his disciples to be like the wise virgins who kept their lamps trimmed and full of oil as they were watching and waiting for their bridegroom to come.

In the Parable of the Ten Virgins, the level of oil in each virgin’s lamp was the factor that determined whether they would be allowed entrance into the bridegroom’s wedding or Continue reading

Dr. Darlene writes,

There is such discord among believers.  There are SO many denominations, and honestly…it’s almost like there are now denominations within what has been labeled the Hebrew Roots movement.  There is strength and safety in numbers and we all need to come together!  In a sermon this morning (credit to BYI and Greg Hershberg) in the livestream we watch, the verses were brought up about what Father hates and despises (Prov 6:16–19), and the last one, about discord and those causing it was eye opening (Prov 6:19).  We’ve got to concentrate on what is important and…to steal some phrases…avoid paralysis of analysis, majoring in the minors, reading books INSTEAD OF The Word, and concentrate on a common purpose.  All the knowledge and the clamoring for it and the subsequent arguing over it are a terrible distraction.

To come together as a nation, we must first be together with Father, then together within our families, then together within our congregations, and THEN we can be together in our nation.  No wonder we’re so splintered in our fellowships and nation; the first two are not happening.

Apparent Judgment on the Demonic Abortionist Doctor

From the Operation Rescue website at https://www.operationrescue.org/archives/abortionist-that-hissed-and-threatened-pro-life-activist-with-scissors-has-died/

San Diego, CA – Operation Rescue has learned that Robert J. Santella, passed away unexpectedly last year at the age of 74.  Santella was a long-time abortionist for the Family Planning Associates (now FPA Women’s Health) abortion facility in San Diego County.  He also operated a private practice where abortions were sometimes done near the campus of San Diego State University.

Santella was best known for an incident captured on video in June 2016, which showed him in a demonic rant against a pro-life activist outside the FPA abortion clinic office where he was working.  Santella was seen in surgical scrubs hissing and growling in a demonic voice as he held scissors to a pro-life activist’s throat while professing that he loved killing babies.

“I never listen to Christ,” Santella snarled.  “I do have a darkened heart.  I do, I do. Very much so.”

As a result of the video, which went viral and gained media attention, Santella was later dropped by the Sharp Healthcare, a group of hospitals where Santella held privileges, and fired from the FPA abortion chain.  The clinic where the incident took place closed in November 2017, but later resurfaced in the East County community of El Cajon.

Santella’s firing from FPA ended a relationship with the California abortion chain that dated back nearly 30 years. Early in their business relationship, Santella provided emergency hospital care for FPA abortion patients who suffered serious complications from their procedures.

Santella was hired on full time by the abortion chain in the early 2000s after two previous abortionists quit or refused to work any longer at the San Diego office due to pro-life activism that exposed their misdeeds.

On December 31, 2017, Santella surrendered his California medical license to avoid license revocation based on allegations brought by the medical board that included wrongly prescribing controlled substances to six patients, while failing to perform a physical examination or document reasons for the prescriptions in medical records. He also ignored test results and symptoms of other serious conditions.

When asked why he prescribed opioids to one patient with a history of substance abuse, he callously replied, “[I]n desperation I would refill her medications somehow just to get rid of her.”

Santella was also charged with repeated negligent acts in his treatment of a woman who suffered a botched second trimester abortion at FPA Women’s Health in San Diego on September 5, 2015, which was first reported by Operation Rescue.

During that abortion, the woman lost over a half gallon of blood when Santella’s efforts to halt the hemorrhaging failed. Despite her deteriorating condition, Santella refused to transport her for emergency care. The woman’s mother, who had accompanied her to the abortion facility, feared her daughter might die and called for an ambulance.  That call saved her daughter’s life.

The woman suffered hemorrhagic shock from bleeding that resulted from an incomplete abortion, perforated uterus, and other internal injuries. She underwent an emergency hysterectomy to save her life, according to the medical board’s accusations.

Santella’s unexpected death occurred on January 17, 2018.   Less than five months later, on June 3, 2018, his wife, France L. Santella also “passed away unexpectedly.”  The couple left no children.

“We want to express our condolences to the surviving family members of Robert and France Santella,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, which frequently protested Santella’s abortion business in the 1990s though the early 2000s.  “I hope that Robert Santella sought repentance before God prior to his passing.  God can forgive every sin, no matter how bad, if one confesses, repents, and puts his faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.”
