The Bible Speaks Out on So-Called “Conspiracy Theories”

In the modern mainstream media, one can hardly go a day without hearing the term conspiracy theory as a label applied to anything that does not fit the government-media complex politically correct narrative. What should be the saint’s view of the concept of so-called conspiracy theories? Actually, the Bible, the Word of Elohim and the foundation of all knowledge, has much to say about secret and evil plots by wicked cabals of like-minded individuals to thwart the plans and purposes of Elohim. As in all things, the saints of the Most High Elohim are advised to let Scripture inform them on everything they think, say and do, and this is true when it comes to “conspiracies theories” as well.

Even though the phrase conspiracy theory was apparently coined during the American Civil War, it was introduced into modern parlance in 1964 after criticisms surfaced concerning the Warren Report that “officially” explained how U.S. President John Kennedy was assassinated1. More recently, the phrase has been typically and cavalierly lobbed at anyone who suggests a narrative that explains the whys and wherefores of current political and economic events that diverges from that of the major government-media complex narrative, or what one might call “the party line”. The problem with this is that the use of such knee-jerk pejorative labels or epithets tends to shut down any questioning about, critical thinking concerning and discussion of a subject that is not “politically correct”. However, the greater problem with labeling any and every idea that one disagrees with is that this mentality ignores a key biblical truth which instructs the saints to “prove all things and hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thess 5:21). Moreover, it ignores the fact that from the beginning of time, there have always been nefarious schemes by evil people, who hate YHVH Elohim (and his saints), and to undermine and subvert the plans and purposes of the Creator. In fact, the Bible chronicles this from the beginning to the end including and even until the very return of Yeshua the Messiah as we shall see below.

By dictionary definition, a conspiracy theory is,

A theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act. A hypothesis alleging that the members of a coordinated group are, and/or were, secretly working together to commit illegal or wrongful actions including attempting to hide the existence of the group and its activities. In notable cases the hypothesis contradicts the mainstream explanation for historical or current events. Hypothetical speculation that is untrue or outlandish.2

On the surface, this definition seems logical and almost incontrovertible, but upon closer examination, it reveals some serious flaws and begs some fair-minded critical analysis. The main and most obvious flaw in this definition is that it assumes that if we cannot see something in front of our eyes this means it does not exist. This is like saying that when we are in a boat on the ocean that if we cannot see the marine life below the waves’ surface, it must not exist. Of course, to any rational person, this is a foolish and ignorant proposition. Therefore, the typical definition of “conspiracy theory” is a non sequitur or a fallacious and illogical one.

The common and accepted definition of conspiracy theory is further flawed because it assumes that business, political and religious cabals do not exist or have never existed that have secret, ulterior and even subversive motives to gain control, power and wealth over other people. Anyone who has even a cursory understanding of history and current events knows that this assumption is patently false. If this were the case, then why do governments have secret spy and intelligent agencies such as the American CIA and FBI, the British MI6, the Israeli Mosad, or the former Soviet KJB now the FSB to name a few?

Further fallacies in the common definition of the term conspiracy theory reveal themselves like a flashing neon sign. For example, in Wikipedia’s article entitled “New World Order”, the title is followed by the parenthetical phrase “(conspiracy theory)”3. The lead paragraph in the article reads,

The New World Order (NWO) is a conspiracy theory which hypothesizes a secretly emerging totalitarian world government.

The glaring fallacious lie in this article is that high profile people (such as U.S. President George Bush) have publicly used this term New World Order as early as the late 1980s and early 1990s in reference to the very thing that Wikipedia denies exists. More recently, the so-called global elite political and economic power-brokers are using phrases like “a global reset” or “a liberal world order.” On the one hand, we are told that a new world order does not exist, and on the other hand, we are told that it is coming whether one likes it or not, and will impose upon humanity such things as a global tax, a digital global currency and cashless society, global social credit scores, a global initiatives to deal with climate change, global biometric tracking of humans, and the list goes on. The United Nations has even publicly documented such agendas in its Agenda 2021 report on the Earth Summit on “Sustainable Developments” and its similar Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals5. These publicly stated agendas by those who control the direction of affairs on planet earth are not conspiracy theories, but stated and undeniable facts that are being implemented and imposed on the human population as we speak!

The question that needs to be asked is did anyone ask you or me for our permission to impose these global agendas upon us? If not, then who is doing this? What group of people has the power and influence be able to engineer and then to force these agendas upon humanity? Is it a conspiracy theory to say that a group of powerful “global elites” have plans to tax us, to control what we think, how we live our lives, where we go and what we do and so on? Yet this is what is happening by their own admission right in front of us, and it is not a conspiracy theory but a plain and provable fact!

But the most important fact that cannot be overlooked for those who believe that the Bible is the Word of Elohim is that thousands of years ago Scripture predicted this would occur in the end times as a precursor to the second coming of Yeshua the Messiah. Go read the Book of Revelation—most notably chapters 13, 17 and 18. Then proceed to chapter 19 which prophesies Yeshua’s judgment against and destruction of this world-ruling Antichrist system which Scripture calls Mystery Babylon the Great.

As we examine the subject of conspiracy theories, let us not forget the fact that as long has humans have been on earth, like-minded people with similar political agendas have formed groups and conceived plans to consolidate resources and riches in order to rule over other their peers, forcefully if necessary, all for the love of money, power and sexual gratification. It was true when the Bible was written, and it is true today because human nature with its greed, lust for power, covetous tendencies and need for sensual gratification has never changed from then until now. There is nothing new under the sun, for that which has been before will be again as Solomon the wise preacher informs us in the Book of Ecclesiastes.

The notion that governments and many other organizations are always open and transparent with the people that they claim to represent or oversee is a belief only for the naive and ignorant. If this were so, then, again, why do governments possess “intelligence agencies” and why do secret organizations exist with elaborate initiation rituals or whose membership is reserved only for certain privileged classes of people?

Without a doubt, conspiratorial agendas have existed down through the ages all because humans have been conniving through illegitimate means to dominated their fellow man ever since a rivalry festered between earth’s first siblings where Cain grew jealous of his brother Abel and murdered him—the world’s first homicide (Gen 4:8). Not long after that, Nimrod and his followers rose up and attempted to take charge of the ancient world and challenge Elohim’s authority. A short time later, rebellious humans built the first city-state to consolidate power and to oppose Elohim’s rule (Gen 10:8–9; 11:3–9). Even before human history, Lucifer rebelled against Elohim, and, conspiring with other like-minded angelic beings, attempted to usurp divine authority (Isa 14:12–15; Rev 12:4). And Satan’s greatest coup against Elohim is yet to come, and he and his human minions are currently conspiring to create a new world order in opposition to King Yeshua’s soon coming world-ruling government. The reality of these facts should be clear to anyone who has the most basic understanding of the Bible. The rise and domination of this global Antichrist system is currently emerging from the shadows and revealing itself. Again, the Bible refers to this counterfeit system as “Mystery Babylon the Great” (Rev 13, 17, 18). This grandest of all conspiracies is a direct challenge to the Creator’s rule of law, and against Yeshua the Messiah, and hence is referred to biblically as “the spirit of Antichrist” (1 John 4:3). This challenge of divine authority was prophesied way back in the time of King David (some 3,000 years ago) when he wrote,

Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against YHVH and against His Anointed, saying,“Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” (Ps 2:1–3)

The Bible reveals that this devious and satanic attempt to usurp divine authority and to kick Elohim off of his throne failed once and will fail once again in the closing moments of this present age, for we read,

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; YHVH shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King [Yeshua the Messiah] on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: YHVH has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them [the satanic conspirators] with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’” (Ps 2:4–9)

Because of humans’ innate and illegitimate love of money and lust for power, this is why Yeshua tells that in the kingdom of Elohim the way for his disciples to become great is to become a servant, not a ruler (Matt 23:11). This, however, is not the way it is in Satan’s world order, for there are many humans who will do whatever it takes to achieve tyrannical domination over their fellow man for personal aggrandizement. For such people, the ends justify the means. And the end goal, always, is power and wealth for, as the Bible teaches, the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil (1 Tim 6:10).

So what does the Bible reveal about men’s so-called evil and Satanic conspiracy theories that have always existed and will continue to exist right up to the second coming of King Yeshua the Messiah?

The Wicked Conspire Plots Against YHVH and the Righteous

The Bible gives us many examples of wicked individuals and cabals conspiring against YHVH and his people. It would be naive to think that this activity does not still go on. In fact, the Book of Revelation tells us that all of the so-called conspiracy theories of men will coalesce into one giant plot that will be led by the demon-possessed Antichrist man of sin to establish a world ruling government that will enslave humanity and attempt to prevent Yeshua the Messiah from returning to the earth and establishing his kingdom (read Revelation chapters 13, 17 and 18).

What follows below is a list of conspiracies that have been hatched up and orchestrated by wicked people down through the ages or occur in the future as chronicled in the pages of your Bible. As you will see, the Scriptures actually use such terms as “secret plots”, “crafty counsel”, “a sinister scheme”, “devised schemes,” and even “conspiracy” to describe the plans of these evil individuals to thwart the Word and will of the Creator. To say that conspiracies do not still go on, and to broad-brush label them as mere theories is ignorance and even bigotry (i.e., the obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group). Are some ideas about conspiracies mere unproven theories? Indeed they are. But it behooves the serious truth seeker, as we have previously noted, to follow the instructions of Scripture and,

Test [or prove] all things; hold fast what is good. (1 Thess 5:21)

So the next time you hear some refer to something as a “conspiracy theory”, instead of checking your brains at the door and just assuming that they are correct, or that the official mainstream narrative is accurate, do some critical thinking. Ask questions, do a little research, dig a little. Maybe it is a hair-brained so called “conspiracy theory”, or maybe it is truth in spite of evil men trying to obfuscate the truth and hide their nefarious, God-hating plans under a dubious or lying label in an effort to throw truth-seekers off the track of their wicked schemes. Just maybe. It has happened before!

Now onto the Scriptures. Here are examples of “conspiracies” in the Bible and these were not theories, for they actually happened or will happen in the end times as the Word of Elohim prophesies!

Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, Against YHVH and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” (Ps 2:1–3)

For they intended evil against You; they devised a plot which they are not able to perform. (Ps 21:11)

In whose hands is a sinister scheme, And whose right hand is full of bribes. (Ps 26:10)

For I hear the slander of many; Fear is on every side; while they take counsel together against me, they scheme to take away my life. (Ps 31:13)

Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor who seek after my life; let those be turned back and brought to confusion who plot my hurt. (Ps 35:4)

Rest in YHVH, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (Ps 37:7)

They gather together, they hide, they mark my steps, when they lie in wait for my life. (Ps 56:6)

Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the rebellion of the workers of iniquity. (Ps 64:2)

They devise iniquities: “We have perfected a shrewd scheme.” Both the inward thought and the heart of man are deep. (Ps 64:6)

For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against You. (Ps 83:2–5)

Do not grant, O YHVH, the desires of the wicked; do not further his wicked scheme, lest they be exalted. Selah (Ps 140:8)

Truly, this only I have found: that Elohim made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes.” (Eccl 7:29)

Also the schemes of the schemer are evil; He devises wicked plans to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaks justice. (Isa 32:7)

But I was like a docile lamb brought to the slaughter; and I did not know that they had devised schemes against me, saying, “Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be remembered no more.” (Jer 11:19)

That they may successfully do evil with both hands—the prince asks for gifts, the judge seeks a bribe, and the great man utters his evil desire; so they scheme together. (Mic 7:3)

Examples of Evil Conspiracies Against the Righteous

The following are examples of specific plots or conspiracies that the Scriptures details.

[F]or they harassed you with their schemes by which they seduced you in the matter of Peor and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a leader of Midian, their sister, who was killed in the day of the plague because of Peor.” (Num 25:18)

And it happened, when our enemies heard that it was known to us, and that Elohim had brought their plot to nothing, that all of us returned to the wall, everyone to his work. (Neh 4:15)

Now Esther spoke again to the king, fell down at his feet, and implored him with tears to counteract the evil of Haman the Agagite, and the scheme which he had devised against the Jews. (Est 8:8)

[B]ut when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letter that this wicked plot which Haman had devised against the Jews should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. (Est 9:25)

Look, I know your thoughts, and the schemes with which you would wrong me. (Job 21:27)

You have seen all their vengeance, All their schemes against me. You have heard their reproach, O YHVH, All their schemes against me… (Lam 3:60–61)

Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah have plotted evil against you, saying, “Let us go up against Judah and trouble it, and let us make a gap in its wall for ourselves, and set a king over them, the son of Tabel.” (Isa 7:5–6)

Yet, YHVH, You know all their counsel which is against me, to slay me. Provide no atonement for their iniquity, nor blot out their sin from Your sight; but let them be overthrown before You. Deal thus with them In the time of Your anger. (Jer 18:23)

“And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. (Dan 8:23)

But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ (Matt 21:38)

Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and plotted to take Yeshua by trickery and kill Him. (Matt 26:3–4)

When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Yeshua to put Him to death. (Matt 27:1)

So they watched Him, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, that they might seize on His words, in order to deliver Him to the power and the authority of the governor. (Luke 20:20)

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. (John 11:47)

So when they heard that, they raised their voice to Elohim with one accord and said: “Lord, You are Elohim, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: ‘WHY DID THE NATIONS RAGE, AND THE PEOPLE PLOT VAIN THINGS? THE KINGS OF THE EARTH TOOK THEIR STAND, AND THE RULERS WERE GATHERED TOGETHER AGAINST THE LORD AND AGAINST HIS MESSIAH.’ “For truly against Your holy Servant Yeshua, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. (Act 4:25–28)

When [the Jewish leaders] heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill [the apostles]. (Acts 5:33)

But their plot became known to Saul. And they watched the gates day and night, to kill him. (Act 9:24)

And when it was day, some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. Now there were more than forty who had formed this conspiracy. They came to the chief priests and elders, and said, “We have bound ourselves under a great oath that we will eat nothing until we have killed Paul. Now you, therefore, together with the council, suggest to the commander that he be brought down to you tomorrow, as though you were going to make further inquiries concerning him; but we are ready to kill him before he comes near.” (Acts 23:12–15)

Now when Festus had come to the province, after three days he went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem. Then the high priest and the chief men of the Jews informed him against Paul; and they petitioned him, asking a favor against him, that he would summon him to Jerusalem—while they lay in ambush along the road to kill him. (Acts 25:1–3)

Future End Times Conspiracies

The secret and plots and conspiracies of wicked men against YHVH and his people, as Psalms chapters two and 64 clearly demonstrate, have been going on since the beginning of time. Scripture reveals that this never-ending tug-of-war between heaven and hell or the forces of good and evil for world domination will culminate in the end times when “the rulers [of this world will] take counsel together [i.e., a secret, conspiratorial plot] against YHVH and his Anointed [i.e., Yeshua the Messiah]” (Ps 2:2) in an effort to “break their bands [of YHVH’s rule of law as expressed in the Torah and the Prophets of the Bible] in pieces and cast their cords from us,” (Ps 2:3). Of course, YHVH will laugh in derision or mock and ridicule them for their foolish hubris, and will pour his wrath out upon them (Ps 2:4) prior to Yeshua’s second coming, when heaven will place King Yeshua on his holy hill in Zion (Ps 2:6) to rule over the world as King of kings. The Book of Revelation prophetically chronicles how this struggle will culminate, even as Psalm chapter two predicts.

Thus, the saints of the Most High Elohim, who is the Creator of all things, the sovereign Ruler, Lawgiver and Judge of the universe, can not only take comfort in, but be emboldened by the fact that they are on the winning side of this epic battle between good and evil IF they have a personal and obedience-based relationship with Yeshua the Messiah. After all, as the saying goes, one person plus God make a majority. Never forget this and be encouraged as you struggle to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil in an effort to gain immortality and inclusion in YHVH Elohim’s everlasting kingdom!

So in conclusion, the secret plots of the wicked have been going on since man’ tenure on this earth, and they will continue to be hatched up and executed to the very end.

Make no mistake, the government-media complex propagandistically and derisively refers to these devilish plots as “conspiracy theories” as if to hide the truth of their reality, obfuscate their existence and to divert the masses’ attention away from reality and truth, but this does not change the fact the wicked have been hatching secret plots to overthrow YHVH and his saints since the beginning of time. This the Bible clearly shows, and humans will continue in this evil activity until the very end of this age under the direct aegis of Elohim’s archenemy, Satan the devil, who comes to kill, steal and destroy as a roaring lion seeking to devour whomsoever he may.
