Heavenly “Sex”, the Tabernacle of Moses & the Bride of Yeshua

In Ephesians 5:32, Paul calls marriage and the relationship between a husband and wife “a great mystery”, while likening this physical relationship to Messiah/Christ and the church. The pre-incarnate Yeshua married his Israelite bride at Mount Sinai and entered into an intimate relationship with her as metaphorically symbolized in the Tabernacle of Moses. Yeshua is remarrying his bride—a comprised of redeemed Jewish and non-Jewish believers—and desires the same, but a deeper, more intimate relationship than he even had previously with Israel. The intimate, physical relationship between a husband and wife is a physical picture of a greater spiritual reality that should ideally exist between Messiah and his spiritual bride. When we understand this deep mystery, this will help to propel us into a deeper walk with our Lord and Savior as we prepare ourselves to be his forever bride in his kingdom.
