A Psalm: The Flowers in My Garden

The uglier the world becomes, the more I plant flowers in my garden.

The deeper and darker the pit society falls into, the brighter and more colorful are those flowers.

The more vile, crass, ungodly, evil and profane people become, the more my garden resembles the sublimity and idyllicism of Eden.

The greater the degradation of the surrounding culture as it gleefully parades its descent into hell, the more my garden reflects heaven on earth.

Yehovah, I love you, praise you and find my hope and joy in you through the flowers in my garden!

  1. Shalom Natan

I love looking at the flowers, trees shapes & colours of life but feel I can’t place much time toward our garden because I am fitting so much in & feel called to do other things presently in learning how to live in Messiah. But I do like to cut the flower offerings of the few plants I have & put them in a vase for Shabbat too. Each one is exquisite.

Maybe I will pray about that establishing that kind of Eden. I am always wary because so many people put every ounce of energy into a garden worshipping it.

I just so want to have more folk around me know a bit about how our True Messiah lived. I feel a grating in my being every time I think about all the false worship going up as muck instead of pure worship from humble hearts. Easter is hard to be around.

You have given me something to think & pray about….. to see if it is me denying a good gift in gardening or if for me I am meant to leave others to make the garden that I will appreciate when Elohim slows me down a bit. Like Y’shua did.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
    Love & blessings in Messiah

    • Anything can become a god if we let it. Gardening can’t be that bad, since YHVH placed Adam and Eve in one, told them to take of it, and the saints will be living for eternity in the New Jerusalem, which will be a city garden.

While gardening, spend time meditating on Him, praying to Him, listening to his Word and praise music (via your iPod). That’s what I do. Bring YHVH into it.

  2. Ah the joys of gardening. Amazing the older I get the more I slow down. The saying “stop and smell the roses” has a lot more meaning to me now. It’s amazing how depressed we are during the winter months, but when green sprouts from the ground, life enters the body one again.
From death to life. He has risen!!! Hallelujah!!!!

  3. I love your flowers they are beautiful. I have always loved flowers and water falls there’s just something about nature that pulls me in. I believe it reflects spiritual heaven. Hallelujah in Yeshua.

  4. Yes Natan, when the world & the sin in the people / world get worse it is uplifting to
Reflect on YHWH’s Our Elohim magnificent creation. So Thankyou for posting the pictures of your garden …I enjoy all the visuals you use in your messages , eg. Your Trip away…..etc. as it gets worse out there we have to focus more & more on Yeshua, ..thinking re The Rose Of Sharon….beautiful fragrances that come from the garden…he is a sweet fragrance to us ..may we smell & discern his prescence more & more & that our prayers would be a sweet fragrance to him..our thankfulness for what he did for us when he died on that cross ( stake) ..& took all our sins & transgressions
    On himself.

    • Amein. Well said! Your post brings a big smile to my face. The darker and the more evil the world becomes in these end times, the more beautiful the Rose of Sharon becomes! O that people would fall in love with Yeshua and see the indescribable wonder and sublime beauty of the gospel message!! That, in the final analysis, is what this blog and my life is all about——to help people to see this. Thanks for the comment.
