  1. Powerful message! When I first heard of the flat earth about a month ago, I was taken aback. And it was comming from a Hebrew root teacher that I just started to listen to that I thought was prity good.
Needles to say I scrubed him of my favorites.
Thanks for a timely message for confirMation.
I think I will reevaluate my listening to the extra biblical teachings on the nephelin. I have to confess that it did take up a lot of my time away from reading scripture, and the real message for man kind.
Thanks again Nathan. Your very encouraging. I pray that you stay on the straight and narrow.

  2. I admit that I had never heard of the flat earth people, but they are in the same boat (to me) that go to seed over the supposed Torah, but do not need Yahsuah, and leave Him out of their lives, and have heard some that even come to the conclusion that He never existed, Wow, these are Hebrew roots people?? Good teaching Natan. c

  3. Dear Natan,

I hope to be honoring and respectful as I address this video. Unfortunately I cannot neglect mentioning the great disappointment and concern that was stirred up by your video, demeanor and insulting language. While I have always admired your forthrightness and tenacity, this time I am afraid you have crossed a line and have insulted, demeaned, belittled, and have antagonized an entire group (body parts) of Torah believing followers of Yeshua. You have used a very broad stroke in painting an entire group of individuals in a negative light. I will refrain from name calling and insults because that is not the characteristics of the fruits of the Ruach but instead will try to address the things I have disagreement with in your video and your words in a respectful manner while trying to honor and respect your position and age. I will try to go in chronological order of the video.

    1. [Geometry.] You used geometry as a witness to your belief that those in the HR or Torah Keeping faith that believe in a stationary and geocentric creation model are wrong and “stupid”. A couple of things I’d like to address regarding geometry are that firstly, geometry and geometric equations are not mentioned in the Scriptures therefore they can not be used to Biblically confirm or disprove His creation or Word. Secondly according to geometry and more precisely spherical geometry equations, I myself have personally witnessed with my own naked eye, phenomena that is mathematically impossible according to the equations of spherical geometry. Namely seeing the island of Kauai from the shore of Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands. Conversely the newspaper in Kauai has published a photo of seeing Oahu from the shoreline of Kauai, which according to the established equations of spherical geometry are impossible. Again, the point is that man-made mathematic equations, while useful, are not listed as a witness or testimony of Yahweh’s Word or creation.
    2. [Christopher Columbus.] You mentioned Chris Columbus as the definitive end-all proof of refuting a “flat-earth”. Just like in any courtroom trial, a dishonest witness’s testimony is not to be trusted to make a verdict. While I have never personally met Mr. Columbus, historical research shows he was a dishonest, slave-trading man of questionable morals, nor did he teach or preach repentance or the Gospel of Yeshua and later in your video you told us to not listen to those who do not preach or teach exactly what the apostles taught. Therefore you have discredited your own witness.
    3. [Distractions, or being distracted from Yahweh and Yeshua.] While I will admit that like any topic there are those on the fringe that take things too far and do let certain topics and study of said topic consume their lives and thoughts, that is not the case with ALL who take Genesis chapter one literally and not “poetically”. Nor does new understanding or revelation cause anyone to forget Yahweh and Yeshua. On the contrary I know many, MANY people that instead of being distracted from Yahweh and Yeshua have been drawn into deeper faith, admiration and reverence of Yahweh and His Son. A deeper trust in His Word and His plan for us has been established and a greater sense of shalom knowing He is sovereign and that we truly are loved, cared for and provided for. The understanding that He created the Earth the way that He described in Genesis 1 has removed fear, established faith in that He is not an Elohim of chaos and disorder and that the Earth truly is His footstool. There are far more “distractions” to condemn or oppose i.e. entertainment, sports, gambling, fashion trends, focus on material gain, video games, secular music concerts, jobs or college hours that keep one from constantly proclaiming the Gospel.
    4. [Sidetracked from the Gospel Message.] Again, I have seen and admit a few on the fringe either have been sidetracked or give the undiscerning appearance of being “sidetracked” from the Gospel but again the vast and overwhelming majority have not. Instead they have been course corrected into absolute faith and trust in Yahweh and His Word even to the point of joyfully enduring persecution, opposition, name-calling, insults, disfellowship etc. because of the supreme confidence in our Creator and the understanding of what the meek shall inherit. If the Gospel message is the only solitary thing we are to be focused on and not sidetracked from then why did Yahweh have Moshe write the Creation account as the first thing for us to know? Why should we bother reading about Naaman being healed of leprosy? Or David having Uriah killed? Or Elisha calling on a bear to eat some youths? Or about Ester? Or Proverbs? None of these expressly talk about the Gospel. Am I being sidetracked if I read genealogies or about how Saul tried to kill David? Even the Torah addresses day-to-day minutia about sanitation and menses, they do not speak expressly of the gospel. Is that sidetracking me?
    5. [Calling people stupid.] Wow. Ok, so that adjective and the repeated and vehement use of that adjective to describe people (that are fellow believers in Yeshua and obedient to Torah and that HAVE been Bereans and studied the Word and prayed and have dismissed the folly that is the wisdom of man) demonstrates you were speaking from the flesh and not the Ruach HaKodesh. The fruit of the Ruach is love, joy, peace, patience, KINDNESS, goodness, trustworthiness, GENTLENESS and self-control. We are also warned not to be conceited (my blog is huge, people all over the world write and call me etc.), nor PROVOKE one another. If you feel a brother is in trespass or in transgression of the Torah you are admonished to correct them with a spirit of gentleness. Ephesians 4:29-30 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Sadly these things mentioned in Ephesians that we are advised not to do were done by you in your video. (but since they are not the “Gospel Message” perhaps we need not heed them or listen to them?) I also know full well these admonitions are directly related to a brother in sin and that leads me to point out that absolute faith in His Word regarding creation is not a sin nor a “delusion”. A delusion causes us to trust in other knowledge that is not from Yahweh thereby discrediting Yahweh’s Word, knowledge and wisdom.
    6. [Causing confusion.] Yahweh is not the author of confusion. Confusion about creation/the earth comes from usurping what Yahweh Himself said and trusting the foolishness of men. Confusion comes from heeding the testimony of godless, Yahweh hating men that contrive baseless theories and falsify evidence to prove that there is no Creator. Confusion is of the enemy, the deceiver, the one who tries to exalt himself over Yahweh by counterfeiting a creation and showing corrupted, fallible “proof” to entice, excite and puff us up with fantastic “knowledge”. Those who firmly trust Scripture and trust that Yahweh speaks plainly and clearly about what He created, how He created it, why He created it and do not add to His Words the theories of the godless, gnostic adherents to Yahweh hating science are not confused nor under a delusion. They are resting firmly and securely in His Word alone which is the standard to which we must test all things. Blending and uniting two opposing belief systems is what causes the confusion.
    7. [Calling “flat earth” an idol.] The globe is the literal idol. It’s image is everywhere. It is the focal adornment to any all schools and schools of thought that are in opposition to the Scriptures. You literally and truly can not go an entire day without seeing a globe in some shape or form, from icons, slogans, clothing, stores, advertisement, children’s Bibles, food packaging, commercials; the list goes on and on. Believing Genesis 1 and the countless supporting Scriptures is not idolatry. The globe is the idol, literally and figuratively.
    8. [People don’t come to Yahweh because of the global deception conspiracy.] While this is not always the case, it is a HUGE factor in many of our youth and college students rejecting the Bible, which contains the Gospel message (and the creation account)! Science is the preferred religion and science has an agenda to prove there is no Yahweh, no Creator and that we are only alive due to random chance. It vilifies and mocks the Truth of Yahweh and His purpose for us and His Creation. Yes Satan deceives the whole world but not with geocentrism. He is the creator of the conspiracies now being exposed, the creator of the lies, the one who casts doubt on Yahweh’s wisdom and knowledge and substitutes true Yahweh given wisdom and knowledge with anti-Biblical, logical and compelling theories and formulas pawned off as true knowledge. How many times are we warned by Yeshua and the apostles to NOT BE DECEIVED?? Does that mean to only not be deceived by certain Natan Lawrence approved deceptions? Or does it mean DO NOT BE DECEIVED at all because a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters of the world and not according to Messiah.
    9. [Rebuking and telling people to avoid certain teachers.] My hope is you will consider the possibility that perhaps understanding what Yahweh created may in fact be Spirit filled and Spirit led revelation and not something to be rebuked, dismissed and condemned. In my opinion it is way out of line to tell people to avoid teachers that believe Yahweh’s own Word above all other witnesses and testimony and worldly knowledge. How is it a delusion or a sin to take Him at His Word and trust it even though there are many “signs and wonders” that mock, focus on disproving and contradict Scripture? We are to rebuke sin, not belief in His Word. We are not called to rebuke our brethren for believing something to be literal that you assume is poetic. If you feel so passionately about “poetic” verses being twisted into a delusion perhaps instead of calling fellow Torah keeping followers of Yeshua stupid, under a delusion, idolaters and to not listen to them you should translate a Bible and put all the “poetic” verses in purple so that those of us who trust the Ruach to teach and reveal intent and meaning won’t be confused and be so foolish and ignorant to believe Genesis 1 and what Yahweh spoke to Job and to Isaiah and showed to David etc. etc.

Again, I tried to be respectful while also revealing my disappointment and concern. Your video was not edifying, encouraging, Spirit led, nor did it address an actual sin or Torah violation. Instead you spoke from fleshly aggravation, you insulted, you rebuked something you do not understand because you personally dislike it, you belittled and demeaned fellow Torah guarding believers that have the testimony of Yeshua, you discouraged and vilified certain members of the body of Yeshua just to prove your own point or opinion. I hope you will prayerfully consider the effects and ramifications of such public language and opinions.

    In Yeshua,

    Brandy

    • I agree with your sentiments. Many believers study things other than the gospel (their line of work for example). This doesn’t make it wrong. The teacher being referred to in all of this is a researcher (has been for a long time) and what better things to research than things that scripture has some input in. Taking all of this too far would be wrong – but that’s up to each individual.

      • Marcus G. I’m not aware of what teacher was being referred to as no names were mentioned (or did I miss that?). But since there seems to be an understanding of who was being referred to I have to ask was this teacher directly approached before a generalized video was made? Was this person reached out to in the model given in Scripture to confront and address the individual before a public video and suggestion to avoid their teaching was made??

      • I’m glad names were not mentioned, and perhaps there are others that I haven’t heard of that fall into the same category. I actually watched a video last night re flat earth. It was a rather powerful gospel message I felt.

    • The idea that you can “see” an island is not proof of anything. The conditions for this has to do to with atmospheric conditions creating an inversion. You are seeing a reflection. If you want to understand science and use science to back your conclusions, you should do a better job. The simplest question goes unanswered: Why is the island not visible all of the time? The answer is, the earth is not flat. If you lived in Hawaii, you would see sailboats disappeare over the horizon.; first the hull then the masts. You want to quote.scripture? Ecc1:5-6.

Maybe calling people who believe a lie “stupid” is wrong. Perpetuating a lie is even more wrong. People who teach such lies need exposing and need to be called out. The damage they cause is huge. You damage the faith and movement.

      • I do understand the science behind what you are trying to say. I understand refraction and subrefraction and superrefraction (Not Reflection) and ducting of the electromagnetic spectrum. I was a Sailor for over 16 years and I can honestly say that through all the extensive technical training in the form of Electronic Warfare and Imagery mission systems that you do not see a ship disappear from the hull up. You will see the mast and not the hull in some environments due to the sea evaporating which blurs the image which is no different than the mirage effect of seeing it off of a hot road or pavement. You simply watch the ship until it disappears from view due to the focal point of your eye or lenses.
With studying this and using science and scripture (not taking away from the Father and Yeshua) and with prayer it has been revealed. I do not preach it to others and my whole purpose of testing it is so that I can worship the Father in spirit and full truth. This belief has not weakened my reliance on the Father but rather made it stronger and has grown my faith. Whether you believe it is round or flat the fact still remains that there is a great awakening and revelation about many things that the Father is giving to His people. To some He gives things and to others He does not, to discredit someone who has been given something you have not been given brings dishonor to the one who gave the revelation in the first place. I can say that the shape of the Earth is not in my daily study and that once it was revealed the Father started to lead and teach me about other things. I agree that many have taken this and started to bash people over the head with it which is wrong and you will never reach anyone with such an approach, its the same as someone becoming a “Torah Terrorist” or “Bible Thumper”. Many things are causing damage within this movement but no matter what we are to run our race so we may hear the words “Well done my good and faithful servant”! Just know that some will run their race on a track while others will run through forests and others will be more like a Triathlon but we are all running for the same goal. Hope you have a great day and may Yahweh bless you! Shalom!

      • We are in a pitched battle for the hearts and minds of YHVH’s people. The battle is getting fiercer in these end times as winds of doctrines are blowing everywhere thanks to the tree of knowledge of good and and evil called the internet.

I hope the reader of this blog can appreciate the fact that I am passionately opposed to anything that takes the hearts and minds of Yah’s people away from the basic and foundational truths of the Bible with Yeshua and the Torah as the bedrock foundation of that truth. Such things are distractions from the enemy and can become idols. An idol is anything that takes us away from Yeshua the Living Torah-Word of Elohim. John saw it happening in his day, which is why he warned against the spirit of Antichrist and ended his first epistle with these words, “Little children, keep yourself from idols.”

As previously noted, in the end times, because Yah’s people didn’t love the truth (Yeshua and the Torah), he will send them strong delusion to believe the lie. Beware lying spirits and of anything that takes us away from Yeshua! There are many so called angels of light out there. Just because they use biblical terminologies and look good on the surface doesn’t mean anything. We’re to know those who labor among us, to inspect their fruits and to judge righteously.

      • I suppose I am struggling to see how trusting the Bible completely and taking Yahweh’s Word literally causes damage. Are we not to trust His Word completely and not rely on our own understanding?? If trusting His every word as true and the ultimate truth causes damage then I guess I need to see in Scripture where it says that.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Psalm 33:4 For the word of Yahweh is upright, And all His work is done in faithfulness. Proverbs 30:5 Every Word of Eloah is tried; He is a shield to those taking refuge in Him. John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

    • Okay, Brandy, I will agree with you on one thing. It wasn’t proper for me call anyone stupid. There were better ways for me to say this. To correct this mistake, I deleted the video and edited out that part and am currently reposting it. I accept your correction.

Beyond this, I will not apologize for my spicy style of preachings. Sometimes, in our righteous indignation at the maligning of the truth, we, in our zealous passion, cross over the line, as I did. But hopefully, the wise and discerning listener won’t toss out the wheat for the chaff.

I wonder what the people said about the prophets and Yeshua who, on occasion, used sarcasm, ridicule and pejorative names and epithets——some very derogatory ones at that——along with some very insulting and derisive language to describe some of the people they were preaching to? In our modern PC culture, it’s convenient to forget those Bible passages.

The Jezebel and harlot politically correct church system has so emasculated the modern preachers that they don’t dare preach spicy sermons for fear of offending someone’s sensitivities. I’m not PC, and neither were the biblical preachers. Want chapter and verse?

You see Brandy, the main point that I have been making over and over again is that when these preachers should be teaching the gospel message as Yeshua commanded, they’re preaching everything but. Because of this, it’s hard to believe anything they say. Selah.

      • Yes, I said reflection. Speak plainly to “evil”. Now, I am not calling any person evil. In fact, if I am the judge, everybody wins. Anybody who believes the earth is flat needs simple words. I am able to teach the science. I am able to prove this is a lie. What I am unable to do is to change a person who is deceived. Merry Christmas! Remember that statement? Most of us in the movement were once duped into believing Yahshua was born then. Unfortunately, we now have loved ones who feed at the trough of our vomit. Now they say, flat earth, chem trails, serpent seed…etc. It breaks our hearts these loved ones are so deceived. They might as well go back to celebrating Christmas and Ishtar.

      • Jesus was not politically correct and He said some pretty rough stuff, Matthew 23 for example.

      • Correct. Thanks for reminding us of this.

Not only Yeshua, but Paul, John the Baptist and the other prophets. People who are used to Mr. Roger’s neighborhoods type pastors, preachers and Bible teachers forget the manly men of the Bible who wielded the sword of the Spirit of Elohim’s truth and confronted the evil of their day.

    • Thank you so much Brandy for your reply. I have recently found out the “Truth” of YaHoVah’s Word after over 35 years in an Independent Baptist Church, after prayerfully asking for answers and the whole TRUTH. I was
sent this web-site to find out more about Flat Earth from the leader of our
Torah based group. She told me she had not listened to the message,
but felt he was a good teacher and hoped his message would be helpful.

I never plan to check out his site for truth of any kind. I witnessed a type
of “hate” that seemed to come from satan in his video. I feel that Nathan has no basis for his belief, not once did he use scripture to back up his belief of a ball spinning in space. What I believe concerning the earth being flat, stationary, unmovable I Chronicles 16:30, Psalm 93:1, Ps. 96:10, Ps. 104:5 and 30 times YaHoVah tells us that Earth has a “face” (in solid geometry a face is a flat surface). There are so many scriptures throughout the Bible that describes a flat earth vs. where did the spinning ball in space idea come from ? I never heard Nathan give any facts, only mention of Christopher Columbus as a source, plus his opinions. Oh yes, does Nathan discount all of Psalms because it is
poetic, Does that make it dishonest? Disturbing Message.

Very disappointed in his mean spirited ranting, raving, and name calling.
I have no desire to be indoctrinated nor called names by Nathan just because I search for the TRUTH in the scriptures and use them as my guide into all TRUTH. By the way, the teachers I listen to never say they
have all the answers, they give scripture to back up their beliefs and ask
that I should “search the scriptures” for truth daily, not taking their word
      for anything.

Thanks again for your thoughtful comment, I read it all and plan to read
it again and copy it if I can. It was a breath of fresh air! I am grateful
for brothers and sisters that try to live as Yeshua lived as an example
      to this world.

      Love in Yeshua,

      Barbara

      • I let this comment through to make a point.

So you describe my preaching against the flat earth as hate speech and satanic. “Hate speech” seems to one of the current popular terms to lob at someone who one doesn’t agree with. It’s amazing how the terminologies of the world influence our speech patterns.

The purpose of the video was not to do a scriptural debunking of the flat earth fallacy. There are already plenty of other videos out there that do that for those who are honest truth seekers. Moreover, the Bible says not to answer a fool according to his folly. The flat earth fallacy is totally unscientific foolishness and folly.

There are many scientific videos on the internet proving the earth is a sphere. I don’t need to reinvent the wheel on this one.

Some people will believe what they want to believe no matter what anyone says. Your response is an example of this.

It’s too bad people can’t grow up and become mature adults and agree to disagree without becoming disagreeable. I don’t hate flat earthers, I just disagree with them, and I’m warning them not to get side-tracked on conspiratorial theories and fringe ideas that take them away from the centrality of the gospel. Is this hate speech too, or is this preaching and defending the gospel message as Yeshua and apostles did?

You label what I preach as hate speech and call it satanic, yet the end the note that you have posted on my personal blog with “Love in Yeshua.” This is curious to me, to say the least.

I leave the readers with this: The truth is hate speech to those who hate the truth.
