  1. From what I attended to at Canby Grove this Shavuot: You shall love (Deut 6:5) and you shall do (Deut 6:18) left me feeling more than a little frightened. Most all those present to hear these Scriptures didn’t, and how could I? Further in the reading (whew!) I learn my obedience is made possible by His response: He is merciful and gracious to us and blesses us and causes His face to shine upon us [and] among us – Selah (Psalm 67:1). Praise Hashem that: “At an acceptable and opportune time” (Psalm 69:13) came to Israel with the covenant words of Isaiah 49:8, remembered in 2 Cor 6:2 “in a time accepted, the day of salvation”. Rejoice!
