Back from Arizona…

Natan at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. This geological feature is one of the seven wonders of the natural world.

Sandi and I just returned from Arizona, the Grand Canyon State in the SW part of the U.S. We went there to attend a Messianic conference in Phoenix, but circumstances conspired together, and, at the last minute, we ended up not going to the conference. This was because of some communications mix-ups on the part of the conference organizers and due to the fact that some other urgent ministry opportunities presented themselves to us. This all presented us with the opportunity to do a little more sightseeing of YHVH Elohim’s magnificent creation in that corner of the world. More photos and videos to follow, so stay tuned…

  1. Interesting. I kept trying to figure out how to get ahold of you to invite you to a meeting we just had this past weekend in Mesa, AZ. I kept getting “tech blocks” like “this site not available” and the like. So… Baruch HaShem! I guess you were where you were supposed to be. And, btw, you no doubt haven’t the foggiest idea who I am. My ‘real’ name is Ed Boring. I visited your qahal back in 2015 while I was in Beaverton for some SharePoint training. At the time, I was with an assembly called Har Adonai in Monterey, CA. Now I am in Fresno. Anyway, the gathering I wanted to invite you to was the B’ney Yosef North America Regional Family Gathering. We met at Living Messiah in Mesa. If you have any interest/curiosity, the sessions are up on Living Messiah’s channel on YouTube. PS: Glad you did not slip on the snow/ice above the Canyon!

    • On the conference website there was an email address to request info. I sent an email and asked for someone to call me. I gave my phone numbers but no one called. I also understand that an info packet with times, locations, schedules, etc. was sent out to those registering for the conference. We never got that. We paid our money, and no info came about anything including the address of the conference location. We had to email and request that twice before it was finally given to us. Having sponsored, hosted and led some 25 regional conferences ourselves over the years, we found this to be curious that no info about the conference was forthcoming. We took it as a leading from YHVH that we weren’t to be there. I guess we’ll consider that the conference fee we paid ended up being a charitable donation to the local congregation. Love and blessings to everyone! Baruch hashem YHVH!

      • Ah. I am so sorry for the miscommunications! And sorry to have missed seeing you there. Nevertheless, we trust YHVH for his direction of our steps, and we pray abundant blessings on you and your family. We will see each other some time – here or there. Shalom.

      • Thank you and love and blessing to you and yours as well. A couple of people sent us links to the conference meetings which I reviewed. Looks like a wonderful bunch of Ephraimite folks—our type of people, to be sure, with a good spirit. HalleluYah!

On Shabbat, we were able to meet up with a dear friend of mine who came up from Green Valley, AZ. We have been close friends for years, but had never met in person. He and his wife and I and mine fellowshipped all day and then went out to eat afterwards. Ministry occurred back and forth between us. This man is an elder in Israel, an apostolic and prophetic leader that has been walking in Torah and the Spirit for more than 50 years. During our visit, he gave me a prophetic word that confirmed what the Spirit had been telling me, but I needed the confirmation to know that I was hearing correctly. This word involves the next phase of what my ministry activities should be in this new season of my life now that I’ve retired form pastoring.

All this is to say that everything worked out as YHVH wanted it, so there are no hard feelings or misgivings whatsoever.

Maybe we can get together with you guys the next time. How do we get on the mailing list for B’ney Yosef?

  2. The B’ney Yosef Family Gathering in Mesa, Arizona from January 24-26, 2020 was superb. Many people from all over the United States and Canada attended as well as one from Holland and one from Israel. Amanda and I recognized quite a few of our “mishpocha” from a B’ney Yosef North American Summit also held in Mesa three years ago and the third B’ney Yosef Congress in Ariel, Israel in March 2018. There were also many there that were worried and concerned of your whereabouts and looking forward to meeting you. We, of course, have met several times and were looking forward to seeing you both too. We’re glad you are safe. May Adonai יהוה Eloheinu bless you both.

  3. We were sorry that we missed seeing you & Sandi at the B’Ney Yosef Family Gathering in Mesa, AZ, & you not being able to meet other mishpocah. But, you can hear the messages shared from the hearts of some of our mishpocah here!

    May Abba bless you,

  4. Sounds like a wondrous appointment you had with a fellow-sojourner prophet and elder. All praise to The Most High. I look forward to meeting with you sometime. You can sign up for the BYNA Newsletter on the front page of our website https://bneyyosefna.com/ In fact, may I ask if we would have permission to share your post on how to know when the biblical month and new year begin?

    • My spiritual brother from southern AZ actually gave me a prophetic word which confirmed a word I heard from YHVH the day before we left from AZ. It was a commissioning word that I believe will help to launch me into a new phase or season of ministry now that I’m no longer pastoring. Everything was in Yah’s timing and order. YHVH used the conference to get me to this place. Praise Yah!
