Yeshua’s Response to the Las Vegas Shooting? Repent or Perish!

I don’t want to be so arrogant as to presume exactly what Yeshua would have said in response to the recent tragic Las Vegas shooting. No doubt his heart would have been broken. This we know. All humans were made in the image of the Creator and Yeshua died for everyone (John 3:16) and he loved us while we were yet sinners (Rom 5:8 and Eph 2:4–5).

However, the Gospel of Luke reveals that a similar events happened in Yeshua’s day where there was a huge loss of “innocent” life due to tragic circumstances that no one could have foreseen. When asked what he thought about it, Yeshua didn’t judge or condemn anyone. He simply had a pithy word to those who were still living—an important lesson for us all.

We read his response in Luke 13:1–5.

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”

The point? Repent or perish! Everyone will die eventually one way or another. No one knows the  time or place of their death. Therefore, make the most of your life while you have it and especially repent of sin and turn to YHVH Elohim the Creator while you can.

So Yeshua’s message to America and to everyone is this: REPENT OR  PERISH!

After you have repented, then what? Start reading your Bible. It will tell you what to do from that point on. The Hoshana Rabbah Bible reading schedule will you to that in a systematic, organized and balanced manner. 1. It is devastating, but I am thankful you shared this. With all of the tragedies occurring in the U.S. alone, I keep listening for the cries to God, but don’t hear them; from ANY source! I pray people are. I think I’m like a junior watchman, and have had questions about my own “lack of emotion” through much of what we are seeing, though much of it is grief. But the scriptures are clear, and the Ruach’s revelation to me is, “You prayed, interceded, blew the trumpet, and now the only thing left to do is watch.” Am I hearing correctly? Am I ok? This is hard. Thank you Natan for your continued stedfastness. Yah bless you and your family.

    • Sister, take courage. You could just as well be describing me. We’re all struggling to hear and to understand many things. With regard to all those out there running around in the church world claiming to be hearing from “the Lord,” in brief, I don’t believe half of it. Why? There are solid biblical reasons, but this is a whole other discussion.

  2. yes a very devastating tragedy….much on the news re the same but can be depressing to listen to & watch so I try not to focus on it too much but to pray..! I thought Natan’s picture accompanying the article is so appropriate: News Flash – Repent Now & Holy Bible Scriptures – read me. ( or we could say please read! ) /we could add for our lives sake.

That verse gross darkness covers the earth & the people there of….Yes we need to stay very sensitive to these Issues close to Yah’s heart: he would have that none would perish :but come to Salvation thru his Son . ( Yeshua) but only he can change peoples hearts & draw them to himself. Its what people worship,…the large crowds these festivals draw…..the same as football & other sports….I wonder how many would turn up to a football stadium if Yeshua was speaking

Men’s…( all people) hearts can become hardened to what goes on in the world …but I would guess many who have been horrified by what has happened in Las Vegas & who work,.play live in that area would be affected by the magnitude of the heartless attack.
The verse in Luke 13:1-5 is so interesting in light of what Natan has discussed.

It is interesting that in the UK… my husband was reading on the BBC news ( the last day or so) perhaps an early train load of passengers were travelling in their carriages to work etc…8.30 am British time and a believer with his bible was reading aloud in earshot of the other passengers verses from his bible.

.What occurred was amazing; he started to tell people that death is inevitable at some stage…its appointed unto man to die once etc..and added that if they would only believe in Yeshua ….that they could obtain eternal life…well the reaction was severe…passengers wanted to get out of the carriages & escape from hearing him speak..preach to them …the train was pulled up ( urgently) the passengers spewed out onto the rails & up to the platform where British police ( Bobby”s ) assisted getting the passengers to safety on the platform etc…apparently the believer was just an everyday passenger travelling on the train ,quiet composed etc… & hopefully for him he won’t be charged with anything BUT telling the truth we could say. .

    • Your last paragraph is very telling concerning the times in which we are living and the condition of the hearts of men. For many years, I was an open air, street preachers in the downtown area of one of America’s largest cities. I could write a whole book about relating to what this man went through. Why do you think YHVH will have to pour out all of those horrific judgements listed in Revelation?
      To get men’s attention!

      • To get men’s attention …so TRUE NATAN! ..After I typed my comment ( thoughts to this blog., I rechecked info on the incident in all the various news reports and they all confirmed the same thing happened ;just thru the internet…apparently passengers jammed open the doors trying to scurry out because the believers
words ( really Fathers words/word to them scarred them..so they ran.)
Praise Father the reports said the believer was not charged with anything : BUT THE DISRUPTION ON THE TRACKS CAUSED A FEW PROBLEMS & HELD UP TRAINS FOR A WHILE.
