Children at the seashore waving their Bibles…

We are all like little children playing by the seashore with our pails and shovels as we wave our Bibles at each other saying, ” Look at me! See me scoop some sand into my little pail. My pail is yellow and pink. My pail is prettier than yours. Look at the little hole I dug in the sand. See the ocean water fill my little hole.” Some of us are even building sand castles for ourselves that the next wave will wash away. How special!

I wonder what the Creator of the ocean thinks of us?

Thus says YHVH “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am YHVH, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says YHVH. (Jeremiah 9:23–24)
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of Elohim! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of YHVH? Or who has become His counselor? Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him? For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:33–36)

  1. Good morning Brother,
Point well taken. Sad to say this is where many (most) of us are, at least at times. So easy to put the focus on ourselves, isn’t it. I find it interesting, when looking at a picture, we can all see it from a different perspective. As I looked at this precious picture of the innocence here it reminded me of an opportunity my husband and I had to visit the seashore more than a year ago. Upon standing there at the edge of the ocean water the following words came pouring forth from my heart:

    YOUR AWESOME PRESENCE 2/28/16

Gazing out to the horizon ~ As far as eye can see
I sense Your Awesome Presence ~ Standing there with me!
Glancing upward toward the heavens ~ I hear the seagulls cry
As they soar among the currents ~ You have placed within the sky.

The tiny little sandpipers ~ Have to scurry as they eat
Running quickly from the water ~ As it races toward their feet.
Drinking in this glorious picture ~ I find my senses all renew
Again I feel Your Awesome Presence ~ As I’m standing there with You!

The power of the ocean waves ~ As they toss upon the sea
Yet the gentleness of water’s edge ~ As I think, how can that be?
As I see and smell and hear ~ And my feet touch sandy ground
My love of You grows ever deep ~ In Your Awesome Presence I abound!

Seashells hide like lovely treasures ~ All nestled in the sand
Then the tide pulls back revealing them ~ Under the Power of Your Hand
As I see all that is before me ~ The great details of Your Care
Again I sense Your Awesome Presence ~ I feel You standing with me there!

      • Shalom. Here is something Elohim just gave me to share:

Yeshua was a surfer man, he didn’t need a board. Those who saw him walk on waves, called Him “the Good Lord”. Rebuking winds and wanton storms, who really was this Man? The elements obeyed Him, on Word and on command. He came to save oh Israel, and heal the nations too. And gather every scattered lamb, lost in the galoot*. Yeshua is a surfer man, He doesn’t need a board. Some will call Him “lunatic” , other call Him “LORD”.

        *galoot = the Exile

  2. wow, God given talents, for He too is a poet, an artist, a prophet, a teacher, a healer, and on and on and on!

  3. Shalom All

really struck me ….your surfer as I have been to Hawaii and the statue of the man assigned as the surfers idol always has leis ( flower necklaces) on it and people flocking to it & having pictures taken with it. Certainly our Creator ‘surfs’ a lot differently to those who only ride waves not appreciating the maker of them. This is not a bagging of surfing in totality but how we are all well able lift up sensual experience and men in idolising both instead of worshipping Elohim.

Be blessed and enjoy Elohim’s creation. FJ

  4. Do all things unto Elohim! “To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.” Titus 1:15

“All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” 1 Corithians 6:12

  5. I agree wholeheartedly. At times I don’t even have words or arguments anymore. It’s best to just be still and know that He is God (and we are not!) Shalom
