The Evidences of Baal Worship in America

This is a fascinating five-part video series (about an hour in length total) of Glenn Beck interviewing Orthodox Jewish leader Daniel Lapin on the rise of Baal worship in America. Lapin defines Baal worship as found in the Bible, and succinctly and graphically relates it to modern trends in America’s spiritual and moral decline as evidenced in our pop culture since the 1950s up to the current “Occupy Movement.” He shows how Judeo-Christian values with the Torah as the foundation are the antidote to this problem, and that only a return to a Biblio-centric paradigm will save this nation from certain ruin.

I showed this entire video to my family this Shabbat.

Thank you Dr. Joe for telling us about this!

  1. Looks very interesting, I remember watching Daniel during my PT days.

NOTE: Despite glaring doctrinal errors in the some of the teachings of the LDS Church, I think that many are much closer to the Kingdom of God (as opposed to being very far).

I bring this up only because of Glenn’s background. ( I enjoy listening to him from time to time, but I like Him best in metered dosages.)

Yet I think that our Evangelical brethren have done much to burn bridges and build walls of separation, that have made outreach more difficult. ( I remember watching a VHS in the 80’s that bordered on a venomous hate).

Perhaps in retrospect the crusades didn’t end in the middle ages, if we consider that more anabaptist were martyred, by the group that held the earlier restored truth of Justification by faith (Lutherans).

Even as the Sovereign YHVH poured out the Ruach on people in the Catholic church, HE has poured out HIS Spirit on people in the LDS church.

Sadly I feel that many LDS I know walk in a more righteousness manner, than some of the people I know that profess to be Christians.

Despite that they remain a cult with the “exclusive key to Salvation through the Church (sic LDS), yet it ultimate will be The Father that Judges the Heart of those in the LDS church, we still should strive to share the truth in Love with them.

In many ways they are more like the Samaritans of NT times, we could use more diligent, dedicated and committed people like the LDS within the Congregation of YHVH.

I guess the question is this how do we view ourselves? Am I a Crusader for Christ or Am I a Faithful and True Servant and Witness of the King of kings?

    • WoW! Phenomenal! A must see. I need to re-watch this and watch it with My wife and girls.

(My post above – was before watching this.)

Truly eye-opening. Insightful, thought provoking, the insights are amazing –

The Building with the Penthouse and the basement – it reminds me of the Apostle Paul – I fight the good fight… I press on toward… It seems almost as if the Anti-Nomos spirit in the Church is little more than a hedonist, secular – if it feels good then I have freedom/liberty to indulge in it spirit”. Daniels statement about the academics attack on “Benign Christianity” has the message that is preached in the pulpits Today become so watered down, so to be palatable to the masses, that it has lost its saltiness, that it is almost impotent, divorced from the truth of Torah? Pro 29:18

Has the social gospel/liberation theology progressed toward a “secular gospel” or a “hedonistic gospel”? The true social gospel and liberation theology can be found within the framework of the Torah, it is just not socialism, communism or any other “-ism”.

      Thanks! Yonatan
