Happy First Day of the Sixth Month of Elul

Today, the new moon was spotted in the land of Israel meaning this is the first day of the biblical month of Elul—the sixth month of the biblical calendar.

In one month, YHVH’s people will begin celebrating the fall biblical festivals, which prophetically point to events surrounding the second coming of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua the Messiah, and the establishment of his millennial kingdom on earth.

It’s time to awaken from the summer spiritual doldrums and to prepare yourself spiritually…! The King of kings is coming. Are you ready?

For more information on this important month, see my previous post, “Teshuvah: A Word YOU Need to Add to YOUR Lexicon” at http://hoshanarabbah.org/blog/2013/08/03/teshuvah/.

  1. One of the most profound ‘revelations’ I received about 5 years ago on Sokkut was how important it was to ‘fine tune’ resting “in Him”. I was preparing a meal for about 10 men to observe the feast and was marveling how joyful and energetic I was during my preparation. I had the blessing of peace and was highly organized in everything I was applying myself to. Then after the celebration and everything was taken care of I found I had plenty of energy left over. Suddenly several “outside the scope” of the celebration activities arose. I was pondering whether or not to become involved in these things and was in doubt of my understanding. So I stopped and prayed “where is this coming from”? And clear as day “that is not of me”. I marveled over how important it is to know, from experience, how close things are in “feelings” sometimes that move us forward. The Shabbot’s and Festivals have become, for me, a continuance of learning to fine tune my spiritual ears so that I may not be led astray from things that “sound good” or “real close” to what our Father desires of us. I have found “The more I know the more I know not”, meaning with humility I can be given from Yehoshua more quickly and effectively.

    Mark 4:24-25 ESV
24 And He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. 25 For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”
