Blog Scripture Readings for 4/28 through 5/4/13

Parashat Behar-B’chukotai — Leviticus 25:1 – 27:34
Haftarah — Jeremiah 16:19–17:14
Prophets — Jeremiah 19:1 – 25:38
Writings — Job 23:1 – 29:25
Testimony — James 4:1 – 5:20: 1 Peter 1:1 – 5:14

Most of this week’s blog discussion points will be on these passages. If you have general comments or questions on the weekly Scripture readings not addressed in a blog post, here’s a place for you to post those. Just use the “leave a reply” link below.

The full “Read Through The Scriptures In A Year” schedule, broken down by each day, can be found on the right sidebar under “Helpful Links.” There are 4 sections of scripture to read each day. One each from the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and from the Testimony of Yeshua. Each week, the Torah and haftarah readings will follow the traditional one-year reading cycle.

Weekly Blog Scripture Readings for 4/28 through 5/4/13.

We are instructed in Vayikra/Leviticus 23:15-16: “You shall count for yourselves –
from the morrow after the Shabbat,
from the day when you bring the Omer of the waving – seven Shabbatot [weeks], they shall be complete.
Until the morrow after the seventh Shabbat
you shall count fifty days;
and you shall offer a new meal offering to YHVH.”

This is the 5th week of the counting of 7 weeks.

  1. Dear Natan:

Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your Blog Scripture Readings. It has worked out so well in my daily prayers and readings.

On Sunday I read the Parashat. Monday the Haftarah. Tuesday the Prophets. Wednesday the Writings. And then on Thursday the Testimony.

This leaves Friday and Saturday where I can focus on the Sabbath and studying the other materials you provide on the website.

What a great way to spend the week in Abba’s Word and stay on track with the weekly Parashat and other Scriptures!

Thank you so much for developing this helpful and useful blog.

To YHVH be all the glory! May He bless you with all your hard work and dedication!

  2. Thank you for the encouraging feedback and the blessing of knowing that it’s helping someone.

Only YHVH Elohim himself, and my wife, Sandi, know how much work has gone into producing these resources, but it’s all done because we love him, his word and his people. We only want to see YHVH’s spiritual family grow.

Can I make a blog post around your comment? I’d like people to see how others are integrating these resources into their daily spiritual walk with the Lord, and be encouraged to do the same.

  3. Of course you may!

The work you have done and continue to do is such a blessing to me and to many who may not write to you and tell you.

I love the “bite size” pieces you have developed because it makes it easy to accomplish daily. Your website has SO much that it may seem overwhelming at times; yet by doing the blog scripture readings makes it manageable. Then one can go back to the website and read the extra articles regarding that weekly parashat.

Good work, Natan and Sandi and any ministry staff that help you all!

Again, may our Father bless your hard work and dedication. This little sheep really appreciates it! : )

    • By the way Carol, you thank Sandi and me and our ministry staff. Well, the truth is, we have no ministry staff except the two of us, except the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

  4. Well, Praise be to YHVH! Because the work you do “looks” like an entire staff has done it! Wow! Abba has certainly accomplished much with you both! May His Inspiration and guidance continue to bless you and Sandi with the work that you do. A truly remarkable feat for Him! Thank you!
