Most of this week’s blog discussion points will be on these passages. If you have general comments or questions on the weekly Scripture readings not addressed in a blog post, here’s a place for you to post those. Just use the “leave a reply” link below.

The full “Read Through The Scriptures In A Year” schedule, broken down by each day, can be found on the right sidebar under “Helpful Links.” There are 4 sections of scripture to read each day. One each from the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and from the Testimony of Yeshua. Each week, the Torah and haftarah readings will follow the traditional one-year reading cycle.

Weekly Blog Scripture Readings for 4/7 through 4/13/13.

We are instructed in Vayikra/Leviticus 23:15-16: “You shall count for yourselves –
from the morrow after the Shabbat,
from the day when you bring the Omer of the waving – seven Shabbatot [weeks], they shall be complete.
Until the morrow after the seventh Shabbat
you shall count fifty days;
and you shall offer a new meal offering to YHVH.”

This is the 2nd week of the counting of 7 weeks.

  1. Natan –

    Question – I have always wondered how HaSatan (Satan) was allowed to enter the presence of the Almighty (Job 2:1). He is so corrupt; how can the “unclean” be present with the “clean”?

    • That’s a tough question that I have never heard a good answer to—only a lot of opinions.

      We do know that at some time in the past or future (depending on one’s interpretation of the involved scriptures) Satan was cast out of heaven (Rev 12:9). Yeshua also said he saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven (Luke 10:18). Did this occur when Satan rebelled initially and fell from his position of prominence in heaven, or is this the event that John talks about in Rev 12:9 that hasn’t happened yet? There’s a lot of debate and opinions on these issues among Bible teachers.

      Consider this. Even though Satan is unclean and vile, YHVH Elohim still rules over his creation, of which Satan is still a part. Perhaps from time to time, YHVH Elohim calls Satan into his presence for accountability purposes——for the purpose of keeping Satan on a short leash, so to speak. Just speculation.

      Perhaps, in the end times, Satan’s role as an adversary against YHVH and his plans and purposes will come to the point that Elohim will want nothing to do with him at all. This may be just prior to Elohim’s pouring out his final wrath upon the earth, the Babylon Great/New World Order system, the beast and false prophet, Satan et al. Perhaps this will be when Rev 12:9 occurs just prior to the second coming of Yeshua.
