Writings — Proverbs 26:1 – 31:31; Job 1:1 – 22

Most of this week’s blog discussion points will be on these passages. If you have general comments or questions on the weekly Scripture readings not addressed in a blog post, here’s a place for you to post those. Just use the “leave a reply” link below.

The full “Read Through The Scriptures In A Year” schedule, broken down by each day, can be found on the right sidebar under “Helpful Links.” There are 4 sections of scripture to read each day. One each from the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and from the Testimony of Yeshua. Each week, the Torah and haftarah readings will follow the traditional one-year reading cycle.

  1. Hi Natan – With this coming evening (Tuesday- April 2nd) to Wednesday (April 3rd) being the final day of Passover; what does one do if they do not have an “assembly” to go to? Can one assemble in their own home?

  2. Yes. First, as you know, the last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a high holy day Shabbat/Sabbath. We’re to treat it as a regular weekly Sabbath day by resting from our work. Second, it’s also a commanded assembly when YHVH’s people meet together with him. However, if you have no one to meet with, then just do it at home. Maybe you can fellowship with someone by phone, Skype, email, FaceTime, or some other way.

The bottom line is that we do the best we can to keep YHVH’s commandments as we’re living in exile outside the Promised Land. He’s sees the intent of our heart and knows that if we had the opportunity, we’d be doing more, but sometimes it’s just not possible.

    I hope that helps.

    Shabbat shalom and chag sameach!
