The full “Read Through The Scriptures In A Year” schedule, broken down by each day, can be found on the right sidebar under “Helpful Links.” There are 4 sections of scripture to read each day: one each from the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and from the Testimony of Yeshua. Each week, the Torah and haftarah readings will follow the traditional one-year reading cycle.

  1. How old do you think Lot was when they left for Canaan? We have always thought that Abraham disobeyed by taking Lot with him but it is never stated that Father was displeased that he did so. I wonder if it is possible that Lot was taken because Abraham had been made responsible for Lot upon the death of his brother? Are we reading into what was translated and misunderstanding the intent? I don’t know. I just wonder…:<) Also regarding Abraham's tenth he gave……. I think this freewill offering was different than the tithe that was established for the purpose of the upkeep of the tabernacle, the priests serving, the poor, etc. There is a difference too I think between the tithe and firstfruits……..We should support those who earn it by teaching us and surely the widow, orphan, and poor, but am not sure that the tithe as outlined in Mosaic law is the same as what Abraham gave to Melchizadech (I know, I slaughtered the spelling!!) or to what we should do now…….. Just thinkin' this morning:<) Shavua Tov all!
