The full “Read Through The Scriptures In A Year” schedule, broken down by each day, can be found on the right sidebar under “Helpful Links.” There are 4 sections of scripture to read each day. One each from the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and from the Testimony of Yeshua. Each week, the Torah and haftarah readings will follow the traditional one-year reading cycle.

  1. Why does YHVH permit marriage to captive women, when He has forbidden this previously to prevent “being ensnared to their gods”?
How are we to accept the stoning to death of our disobedient children?
Most of Torah teaching I find wonderfully illuminating but I must admit that some of the requirements I find difficult to understand and therefore I am confused as to which teachings to be obedient to. Please help. Blessings to all.

    • The Bible doesn’t contradict itself, or else Elohim’s word is a lie. The children of Israel were allowed to marry foreigners (including captives) as long was they weren’t idol worshippers. Remember Ruth the Moabitess who married Boaz, the Jew? Her attitude was “Your God shall be my God…” She was in the lineage of King David and Yeshua — a righteous woman. YHVH doesn’t care what a person’s race or background is as long as they love and obey him now.

The nation of Israel was a nation as so had a legal and judicial system. As the body of Messiah, we no longer are in charge of a spiritual nation. We don’t have the power of life and death over people at this time, so this commandment doesn’t apply to us in a letter of the law sense.

I guarantee you though, that juvenile criminality would go down, and the honor of parents (and other godly designated authority)and the fear of Elohim would increase if a few of the blasphemous youthful thugs that roam our country these days seeking to kill, steal and destroy were put to death as per the Torah.

As for what parts of Torah are for today or not, it all is, except for those things we can’t logically do or that were specifically fulfilled in Yeshua as per the Epistle to the Hebrews.
