\"Halloween<\/a>This year,\u00a064 percent<\/a>\u00a0of all Americans will celebrate Halloween, but I will not be one of them.\u00a0 For me, it is a wretched, horrible holiday that celebrates the darkest side of humanity, and it is deeply rooted in ancient pagan traditions that would get people thrown in prison if they attempted to duplicate them today.\u00a0 With each passing year, the sexually suggestive costumes being marketed to our young girls become even skankier, the horror movies become darker and even more demonic, and the number of Americans that participate in occult ceremonies\u00a0just continues to grow<\/a>.\u00a0 In fact, it has been estimated that the number of self-identified witches in the United States\u00a0is doubling every 30 months<\/a>.\u00a0 Those that are deeply into the occult take this holiday very seriously, and the dark forces that they are dealing with are very real.\u00a0 So no, I don\u2019t want anything to do with this festival of death.\u00a0 In no particular order, the following are 18 reasons why I don\u2019t celebrate Halloween\u2026<\/p>\n

#1<\/strong>\u00a0I don\u2019t want anyone in my family to observe a holiday that celebrates death, witchcraft and the occult.\u00a0 This year, millions of Americans will participate in activities that could potentially open up a door for demonic activity.<\/p>\n

#2<\/strong>\u00a0The average American spends\u00a0$74.34<\/a>\u00a0on the holiday.\u00a0 I would rather save the money.<\/p>\n

#3<\/strong>\u00a0Millions of women use Halloween as an excuse to dress like street walkers, and millions of men use Halloween as an excuse to act like sexual predators.<\/p>\n

#4<\/strong>\u00a0Even little girls\u00a0as young as three years old<\/a>\u00a0are being dressed up in sexually provocative costumes.\u00a0 What kind of message does this send to them?<\/p>\n

#5<\/strong>\u00a0Dressing up little children as ghosts, demons and vampires is not healthy for them.\u00a0 In recent years, there has been a trend to make costumes for children\u00a0as hellish as possible<\/a>.<\/p>\n

#6<\/strong>\u00a0Originally, costumes were worn on October 31st \u201cto change the personality of the wearer to allow for communication with the spirit world<\/a>\u201c.\u00a0 For 11 years in a row, dressing up as a witch has been\u00a0the number one costume choice for adults in the United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n

#7<\/strong>\u00a0In ancient Britain, the festival known as Samhain was celebrated on October 31st.\u00a0 It was supposedly a day when dead souls would revisit their old homes.\u00a0 Personally, I don\u2019t want anything to do with contacting the souls of the dead.<\/p>\n

#8<\/strong>\u00a0According to\u00a0the History Channel<\/a>, Samhain was also the day when the Druids \u201cgathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities\u201d.<\/p>\n

#9<\/strong>\u00a0As I have written about previously,\u00a0the fastest growing religion in America<\/a>\u00a0still practices a holiday known as \u201cSamhain\u201d to this very day.<\/p>\n

#10<\/strong>\u00a0According to Wiccans, Halloween is the time when the veil between the living and the dead is considered\u00a0to be the thinnest<\/a>.\u00a0 They believe that on this day their god \u201cdies\u201d and is reborn every year on the Winter Solstice.\u00a0 This year the winter solstice falls on December 22nd.<\/p>\n

#11<\/strong>\u00a0In ancient times, the resurrection of the sun god required human and animal sacrifice.\u00a0 The following is what\u00a0occult expert Bill Schnoebelen<\/a>\u00a0says that the Druids would do at this time of the year\u2026<\/p>\n

Druids worshiped the sun god, called by names like Bel (Ba\u2019al?) or Chrom. On October 31, they believed that he died and went into the kingdom of the dead, Anwynn. The purpose of Samhain was to insure his return. Even witches admit this involved human sacrifice.<\/p>\n

Both animal and human blood were believed to be needed to resurrect Bel on Samhain. Human blood was believed to open the gates of Anwynn and released the spirits for a night. Thus, October 31 came to be associated with ghosts. This is not just history. Samhain is still celebrated by Pagans and is the most solemn ceremony on their \u201creligious calendar\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#12<\/strong>\u00a0To this day, animal\u00a0torture<\/a>\u00a0and sacrifice is still practiced on Halloween by occultists.\u00a0 Many animal shelters\u00a0will not adopt out black cats<\/a>\u00a0during the month of October for this very reason.<\/p>\n

#13<\/strong>\u00a0In the early seventh century, a Catholic Pope known as Gregory the First decided that the best approach to ensure the continued spread of Catholicism\u00a0was to \u201cchristianize\u201d existing pagan holidays and practices<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

As a result of their efforts to wipe out \u201cpagan\u201d holidays, such as Samhain, the Christians succeeded in effecting major transformations in it. In 601 A.D. Pope Gregory the First issued a now famous edict to his missionaries concerning the native beliefs and customs of the peoples he hoped to convert. Rather than try to obliterate native peoples\u2019 customs and beliefs, the pope instructed his missionaries to use them: if a group of people worshipped a tree, rather than cut it down, he advised them to consecrate it to Christ and allow its continued worship.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#14<\/strong>\u00a0The tradition of \u201ctrick-or-treating\u201d was one of the existing pagan traditions\u00a0that was later \u201cChristianized\u201d<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

The idea of trick-or-treating is further related to the ghosts of the dead in pagan, and even Catholic, history. For example, among the ancient Druids, \u201cThe ghosts that were thought to throng about the houses of the living were greeted with a banquet-laden table. At the end of the feast, masked and costumed villagers representing the souls of the dead paraded to the outskirts of town leading the ghosts away.\u201d<\/p>\n

As already noted, Halloween was thought to be a night when mischievous and evil spirits roamed freely. As in modern poltergeist lore, mischievous spirits could play tricks on the living\u2014so it was advantageous to \u201chide\u201d from them by wearing costumes. Masks and costumes were worn to either scare away the ghosts or to keep from being recognized by them<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#15<\/strong>\u00a0The tradition of carving out a \u201cJack-O-Lantern\u201d also comes from paganism.\u00a0 The following comes\u00a0from wicca.com<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

Turnips were hollowed out and carved to look like protective spirits, for this was a night of magic and chaos. The Wee Folke became very active, pulling pranks on unsuspecting humans. Traveling after dark was not advised.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And as\u00a0Bill Schnoebelen has noted<\/a>, pumpkins eventually replaced turnips, but the meaning remained the same\u2026<\/p>\n

Here it\u2019s a pumpkin, but in Europe it was often a turnip, or a skull with a candle in it. This serves two symbols, 1) the lord of the Dead, a \u201cgod\u201d just like a Buddha \u2013 in short, an idol. 2) The fearsome face represented the god, Samhain, who would drive off less powerful demons that night. The lights in the Jack-o-Lantern symbolize the \u201cfaery fires\u201d or \u201cWill\u2019o the Wisps\u201d which were believed to be the lost souls flitting through the night. They also hearken back to the huge Samhain \u201cbalefires\u201d which were lit to help conjure back the god from the darkness.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#16<\/strong>\u00a0On all Satanic holy days, there are children that get ritually abused.\u00a0 This has been\u00a0documented repeatedly<\/a>, and yet most people (including most Christians) don\u2019t want to hear about it.<\/p>\n

#17<\/strong>\u00a0For Satanists, Halloween is one of the most important celebrations of the year.\u00a0 On page 96 of the Satanic Bible, Anton LaVey wrote the following\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter one\u2019s own birthday, the two major Satanic holidays are Walpurgisnacht (May 1st) and Halloween.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#18<\/strong>\u00a0The Scriptures are very clear about this sort of thing.\u00a0 Deuteronomy 18:9-13 says the following: \u201cWhen you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults with the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord\u201d.<\/p>\n
