Elohim or the mainstream church?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Numbers 23:19, <i>El is not a man that he should lie.<\/i><\/b><i> <\/i>Read the rest of this verse, which speaks about the immutable character of Elohim. (Also see Mal 3:6; Heb 13:8.) From the beginning in the Garden of Eden (thanks to the lies of Satan the serpent, see Gen 3:1\u20134), man has been under the spiritual delusion that Elohim changes his word, laws or commandments and that he doesn\u2019t really mean what he says. That is to say, when YHVH gives a command, later on he may change his mind and his commands are no longer applicable to subsequent generations or people-groups.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2015\/07\/03\/who-is-the-liar\/liar\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6705\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6705\" src=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Liar-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Liar\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Liar-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Liar-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Liar.jpg 832w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Down through the ages, church leaders have bought in to this lie of the enemy with regard to validity of the Torah as pertaining to the life of the redeemed believer. But by saying that the Torah is \u201cdone away with,\u201d \u201chas been nailed to the cross\u201d \u201chas been fulfilled in Jesus\u201d meaning \u201che did it for us so that we don\u2019t have to do it,\u201d isn\u2019t this really calling Elohim a liar?<\/p>\n<p>Consider the numerous places throughout the Bible, the Word of Elohim, where the Torah is revealed as YHVH\u2019s unalterable standard of righteousness for all time and for all people everywhere. (In this regard, read the following scriptures: Ps 119:44, 142, 144, 160, 172; Matt 4:4; 5:18\u201319; Rom 3:31; 7:12.)<\/p>\n<div class=\"evernoteSiteMemory\"><a href=\"javascript:\" onclick=\"Evernote.doClip({title: 'Who is the liar?
