{"id":6017,"date":"2015-02-27T06:48:14","date_gmt":"2015-02-27T14:48:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/?p=6017"},"modified":"2015-02-27T06:49:42","modified_gmt":"2015-02-27T14:49:42","slug":"its-time-to-wake-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2015\/02\/27\/its-time-to-wake-up\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s time to wake up and let reality slap us in the face!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>John 5:46\u201347, <i>Believed Moses.<\/i><\/b> These two verses at the end of chapter five can easily be overlooked, but their implications are huge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2015\/02\/27\/its-time-to-wake-up\/attachment\/21707180\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6018\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6018\" src=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/21707180-300x288.jpg\" alt=\"21707180\" width=\"300\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/21707180-300x288.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/21707180-312x300.jpg 312w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/21707180.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Quite simply, Yeshua is saying that those who don\u2019t believe the writings of Moses (i.e., the Torah) won\u2019t believe the words of Yeshua who himself upheld the Torah and taught its validity in the lives of his disciples.<\/p>\n<p>This then begs the following question: Where does this leave all those who claim to be followers of Yeshua, but who believe that the law of Moses was abrogated? It\u2019s hard to be absolutely black and white on this matter, since only YHVH can judge the heart condition of each individual, for undoubtedly many who claim the law was \u201cdone away with\u201d still adhere to many of the law\u2019s tenets (e.g., you shall not steal, murder, lie, commit adultery, worship idols and you shall honor your parents, etc.) and are thus obedient to the law to one degree or another. However, we can safely say that it\u2019s a matter of degrees. To the degree that we don\u2019t believe the words of Moses, we don\u2019t believe the words of Yeshua who was a proponent (and, in reality, as the Word of Elohim, the Originator) of the Torah-law of Moses.<\/p>\n<p>John makes a similar statement in his first epistle from which we can deduce the following: To the degree we don\u2019t keep the (Torah) commandments of Elohim, we won\u2019t know him; that is to say, conversely, if we keep his commandments which are a reflection of his character, will and heart, we will be able to know what pleases him, which in turn will determine the depth of our spiritual relationship with him (1 John 2:4).<\/p>\n<p>In reality, these should be simple concepts to grasp and put into practice in one\u2019s spiritual walk, yet, sadly, most religious leaders have misled Christians to believe anything and everything but the simple truth through their convoluted doctrines and traditions of men by which they have made\u00a0 the word of Elohim no effect (Mark 7:13).<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s time for Elohim\u2019s people to come out of the Babylonian church system with its mixture of truth along with half-truths and lies (Rev 18:4).<\/p>\n<div class=\"evernoteSiteMemory\"><a href=\"javascript:\" onclick=\"Evernote.doClip({title: 'It\\&#039;s time to wake up and let reality slap us in the face!',url: 'https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2015\/02\/27\/its-time-to-wake-up\/',contentID: 'post-6017',suggestTags: '',providerName: 'Hoshana Rabbah Blog',styling: 'text' });return false\" class=\"evernoteSiteMemoryLink\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.evernote.com\/article-clipper.png\" \nclass=\"evernoteSiteMemoryButton\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\t\t\t\t<div class=\"evernoteSiteMemoryClear\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John 5:46\u201347, Believed Moses.
