{"id":5032,"date":"2014-07-25T06:34:26","date_gmt":"2014-07-25T13:34:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/?p=5032"},"modified":"2014-08-23T15:00:47","modified_gmt":"2014-08-23T22:00:47","slug":"promised-land-is-your-land","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2014\/07\/25\/promised-land-is-your-land\/","title":{"rendered":"The Promised Land is YOUR land too!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Numbers 34:2, <i>This is the land.<\/i><\/strong><i> <\/i>The land of Canaan as described in this passage is but a small portion of Israel\u2019s total land inheritance from the Creator.<\/p>\n<p>In the Abrahamic Covenant YHVH made to Abraham and to his descendants, this promise has yet to be fulfilled (review Gen 17:8 cp. 15:18). <a href=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2014\/07\/25\/promised-land-is-your-land\/attachment\/20091268\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5033\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5033\" src=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/20091268-127x300.jpg\" alt=\"20091268\" width=\"127\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a> Never in Israel\u2019s long history as a nation has it possessed and inhabited the land from Egypt to Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>If YHVH\u2019s promise hasn\u2019t been fulfilled yet, unless he lied to Abraham and the Word of Elohim can\u2019t be trusted, this promise is yet to be fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>In Ephesians 2:12, Paul mentions \u201ccovenants of promise\u201d (plural). Most redeemed believers have heard of the New Covenant and know that it somehow relates to them, but Paul speaks of covenants (plural) with regard to the one-new man believer in Yeshua (read the next few verses for context). Other than the New Covenant (singular), what other covenants (plural) that YHVH made with the nation Israel might Paul be referring to?<\/p>\n<p>Do you see yourself as a son of Abraham and an inheritor of these promises? (See Rom 4:16; 9:8\u201311; Gal 3:7, 9; 14, 28\u201329.) Paul did.
