This was the name of five men recorded in the Testimony of Yeshua.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2106\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2013\/01\/08\/my-1790-bible\/img_0044\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2106\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2106\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2106\" alt=\"The Testimony of Yeshua\/The New Testament\" src=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_0044-e1357709859328-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_0044-e1357709859328-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_0044-e1357709859328-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2106\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Testimony of Yeshua\/The New Testament from my 1790 KJV Bible.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It is speculated that the development of\u00a0<i>Iacobus<\/i> to <i>Iacomus<\/i> is a result of nasalization in the French language of the <i>o<\/i> and assimilation to the following <i>b<\/i> followed by simplification of the cluster <i>mb<\/i> through loss of the <i>b<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>The notion that the name <i>James<\/i> derives from King James of England, who ordered the translation of the Bible version (published in 1611)\u00a0that bears his name, is erroneous.
