The world is full of people who have been on a plane and so now think they are pilots, have watched a war movie and now think they are war heroes, have seen television and think they are movie stars. So now we have people who do not know how to think, know nothing about logic or critical thinking, who now think they are Einsteins because they can type on a keyboard. (Michael Savage PhD., best-selling author, American talk show host and podcaster)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Stupidity has nothing to do with intelligence.<\/strong> Rather it is one\u2019s choice to be ignorant by ignoring facts, closing one\u2019s mind to truth, and refusing to think critically. A person chooses to be stupid by making choices based on emotions and group think rather than on reason and critical thinking. This is true of anyone whether they are atheistic, agnostic or religious or a Bible-believing Christian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Text and Commentary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Critical thinking did not die of natural causes. It was murdered, and we all took part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We replaced thinking with reacting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opinions are formed in seconds and defended with tribal fury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emotion has replaced logic as the test of truth: I feel, therefore it is true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questioning someone\u2019s feelings is taken as a personal attack<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system succeeds, because it relieves people of the effort of thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Understanding complex arguments requires patience, self-questioning, and tolerance for uncertainty. Agreeing with someone who echoes one\u2019s existing feelings is easier and more gratifying than thinking critically by questioning what others say or believe and then challenging them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 As a result, the public mind is trained to react rather than to reflect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information is rapidly consumed, repeated, and shared without being examined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algorithms intensify this pattern by promoting content that provokes strong emotions and keeps people engaged, rather than content that is accurate or intellectually valuable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algorithms reward emotional engagement, not clarity. Real debate has become impossible, because disagreeing first requires understanding, and understanding requires thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is easier to label an opponent and dismiss him than to have a debate based on facts and logic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complex realities are forced into simple binaries\u2014good or evil, right or wrong, friend or enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nuance is dead, and a complex world gets crushed into simple binaries: right or wrong, with us or against us. Left or right. Liberal or conservative. Democrat or Republican. As a result, the herd mentality and hive mind prevail at the expense of independent and critical thinking. This is the lure of a pure democracy, which is glorified mob rule. The majority opinion rules whether it is right or not. Might makes right. Thus dissenters are attacked, labeled, vilified, extirpated either verbally or literally by imprisonment, lynching or a firing squad. History records this scenario playing itself out again and again in totalitarian regimes over the millennia and especially in communist countries in the last one hundred years. Have we forgotten history? Or are have we become just that stupid due to our being willingly ignorant? <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Slogans and familiar phrases take the place of reasoning; repetition and can make an idea feel true even when no one has tested it or history has proven that it is a failure. This happens when people have become so arrogantly stupid that either they are ignorant of the historical record or they delusionally think that a new and improved version of a failed or stupid idea (e.g., Marxism, socialism, democratic socialism) will somehow succeed this time thanks to their \u201cgenius\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emotional conviction becomes its own proof: people trust what resonates with them based on their own limited experience and narrow world view, and they attack anyone who questions their belief as attacks on their personal identity.<\/p>\n\n\n

Then there is the societal phenomenon of permanent distraction that helps to propel individuals and a society into a state of chronic stupidity. When a society prey to permanent distraction (or entertainment), only the superficial survives. Permanent distractions that have replaced learning, reading, the acquisition of knowledge. Distractions include addiction to things like television viewing, sports, social media, video games, streaming entertainment and the like the excess of which dulls the mind contributing to mental flaccidity and resulting in stupidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People may spend more energy constructing an appealing public image than developing real abilities or meaningful lives. Visibility becomes more important than competence; appearing<\/em> valuable matters more than becoming<\/em> valuable. Consider, for example, YouTube videos and social media outlets where people are seeking to be relevant because of their beautiful bodies, sharing of personal sexual encounters and lived experiences. Countless people young and old spill out their personal thoughts, feelings and opinions about anything and everything thinking that other people really care when they don\u2019t. Virtual reality has become true reality for many people, while their lives are still empty, vapid, lonely and devoid of meaning and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Constant posting and opinion-sharing on the internet leave little time for silence, reflection, or the slow work of creating something worthwhile. Thank you social media and the comments section on YouTube and elsewhere where anyone with a key board believes they are a genius and has a right to be heard despite their stupidity and ignorance of the facts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public exposure increasingly becomes an end in itself: people publish not so much to communicate an idea as to prove that they are present and seen.<\/p>\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Social media influencers are presented as the emblematic figures of this age. Their authority comes less from knowledge, character, or accomplishment than from visibility, emotional appeal, and the ability to create a sense of intimacy with followers. Audiences often seek validation and entertainment rather than to be challenge intellectually or to receive instruction. In a society where people feel isolated, an online following can offer a substitute for community and belonging. This connection can become almost religious. Thus social media influencers acquire devoted followers, criticism is treated as betrayal, and online groups develop shared rituals, orthodoxies, and punishments for dissent. This becomes their religion or a \u201cchurch\u201d based shared ignorance and stupidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fame, rather than virtue or wisdom, becomes a measure of personal worth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algorithms then amplify the people and content best suited to capture attention, allowing banal or inflammatory material to reach enormous audiences quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A large part our society\u2019s declension into an idiocracy is the fault of \u201ceducation\u201d. Schools often reward obedience, memorization, and the reproduction of expected answers more than curiosity or independent judgment. Students may learn to perform competently on tests without developing a lasting understanding of ideas or the ability to critically think. The disease of mental indolence and lassitude is compounded when rewards are granted not just for winning but simply for participation. Thus everyone becomes a winner even when they are a loser. The shame of coming in second or last place is gone, and with it the impetus to strive to be improve. Thus mediocrity has become the norm having replaced the pursuit of excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result of society\u2019s descent into mediocrity and an idiocracy, where fools run the show, is the withdrawal of thoughtful people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The silence of the wise is the preservation of energy for interlocutors still capable of reasoning. Presenting a rational argument is now treated as a personal attack against because it contradicts the shallow narratives in which people have invested their identity. Wisdom is labeled as arrogance, which allows the idiot to attack the sage\u2019s character rather than his arguments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silence and, even, when called for, mockery and sarcasm remain the last refuge of intellectually lucid. This becomes a form of private resistance and is, in itself, a commitment to logic when collective emotion demands its abandonment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Message to the Christian Church<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now here is the clincher <\/strong>and the point of this piece: Christians are neither immune to the disease of shallow thinking nor the descent into stupidity brought on by willing ignorance and their refusal to think critically by questioning the belief systems of their church traditions against the truth of the Bible. Too many so-called Bible believing Christians have unwittingly enslaved themselves to the religious idiocracy called churchianity. This system is where human throw their emotions Jesus Christ (falling under the moniker of \u201cpraise and worship\u201d) instead of actually believing and then obeying what he taught. This is where the trappings of religiosity, rituals, garb, religious monuments, the adulation of icons and statues along with the traditions of men have replaced belief in and adherence to the clear instructions and commandments of the Bible\u2014the Word of Elohim.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some manifestations of Christian church\u2019s descent into various states of idiocracy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The inability to critically think is replaced by the rote and mechanical regurgitation of what has been taught from the pulpit whether it lines up with the Bible or not. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parrotting group think and agreement with the hive mind of so-called \u201cnormative Christianity\u201d as invented by the proto-Roman Catholic church father has replaced Bible study and alignment with biblical truth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

People believe what they do because, it is reasoned, this is what the majority of Christians going back to the early church father believed. Right? Not necessarily\u2026not if it fails to align with the divinely revealed Truth of the Bible and the teachings of Yeshua and the apostolic writers. Speaking to the religious leaders of his day, Yeshua said it well: \u201cFor laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men\u2026Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye\u201d (Mark 7:8, 13). The Jewish religious leaders were not the only to suffer from spiritual disease of lifting men\u2019s traditions above the Word of Elohim. Human nature has remained the same to this day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stupidity of too many Christians is evident by the repeating of clich\u00e9s and the cherry picked of Bible verses out of their context to counter Bible truths they willingly refuse to believe. Time and time again, single verses are randomly and haphazardly plucked from Scripture in an attempt to shoot down the behemoth zeppelin of a Bible truth. This tendency has replaced critical thinking and a holistic understanding of the Bible. When confronting biblical truths that fail to align with the group-think and hive mind of churchianity, one hears endlessly repeated silver bullet clich\u00e9s instantly intended and convincingly to shoot assassinate truth. Such trite clich\u00e9s include: the law has been done away with; the law was nailed to the cross; Jesus came to fulfil the law so I don\u2019t have to keep it; we are now under grace and not under the law; Jesus declared all foods to be clean; when I bless my biblically unkosher pork, it is permitted to be eaten; if you keep the Torah-law of Moses you have gone back under the law; Torah keepers have fallen from grace; the law of Moses or God was a burden; I am a Gentile Christian and not under the law; if you keep the law you are a Judaizer or a cultist; even though I know that the Sabbath is the fourth commandment, I\u2019m not going to keep it because the Holy Spirit hasn\u2019t revealed that to me yet, that was the ceremonial or civil law, not the moral law; in the New Testament, Jesus didn\u2019t specifically command for us to do this or that; I only follow the commandment that Jesus gave us; and that\u2019s not what my church or pastor teaches. And the list is endless of the excuses that too many Christians use to remain in comfort zones of their ignorance and to justify their unbiblical beliefs and practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What follows is a hard truth. To a large degree, the Christian church worldwide has fallen victim to a non-rational view of Bible Truth (going back to the early church fathers and the Roman Catholic Church). These second century Christian theologians determined what so-called normative Christian theology should be, and this has been now labeled \u201cthe historic Christian faith\u201d. The Roman Catholic Church then wrote it in stone and institutionalized it, even though it is, in fundamental ways, at odds with the teachings of Yeshua the Messiah and his apostles, especially when it comes to YHVH\u2019s Torah-law or the law of Moses. Thus, the mainstream Christian church has become a sort of religious idiocracy where the stupidity of beliefs that disagree with Scripture reign supreme, and those who teach the whole truth of the Bible are often attacked, pejoratively labeled, shunned and rejected as heretics and cultists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A case in point of the church\u2019s descent into an idiocracy is this: The unvarnished truth of the Bible is that YHVH\u2019s Torah-law defines sin (1 John 3:4; Rom 13:8\u201310), and Torah obedience defines one\u2019s relationship with Yeshua (John 14:14, 21; 1 John 2:3\u20136; 3:24; 5:1\u20133) as well as one\u2019s level of rewards in the kingdom of Elohim (Matt 5:19; 16:27; Rom 2:6; 2 Cor 5:10; Eph 6:8; 1 Pet 1:17; Rev 19:8; 22:12). Because of the mainstream Christian church refusal to accept the totality of  YHVH\u2019s Torah-law, and has instead watered down the gospel message pertaining to repentance of sin and the living of a holy and righteous life in accordance with YHVH\u2019s Torah, then perhaps this has contributed to the church\u2019s downfall as being the spiritually transforming power to the heathen world around it. Is this the reason why the Christian church in America and the rest of the West is no longer respected? Has it last its potency like salt that Yeshua described that has lost its saltines and is no longer good for anything except to be tossed onto the ground and trampled underfoot (Matt 5:13)? Has the mainstream church become increased with material goods, so richly adorned in religious trappings and the traditions of men that, in the eyes of Elohim, it is, in reality, spiritually lukewarm, and Christians have become naked, blind and deaf and about to be vomited out of Yeshua\u2019s mouth (Rev 3:14\u201321)? Is this because too many Christians have become stupid, not because they lack intelligence, but because they are ignorant of the biblical standards of righteousness and are blithely following the crowd without critically questioning their beliefs and subsequent actions? Are these Christians confronting the world with the hard life and death message of the gospel, or merely playing church? How many are actually dying to self, picking up the cross of Yeshua, following and then obeying all of his commandments regardless of the approval ratings of the heathen society around them? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is an exit door from the church of the ignorant stupid, the lukewarm Laodicean, the mentally flaccid and spiritual effete, where the traditions of men trump the Word of Elohim, and where the Great Commission is no longer the Great Omission. That door is called \u201cRepentance\u201d, turning from sin (i.e. Torahlessness), and then seeking first the kingdom of Elohim and his righteousness (Matt 6:33). After that, begin studying the Word of Elohim and obeying it. YHVH Yeshua is knocking on the door of the spiritually ignorant stupid who are asleep and playing church. How many Christians will answer his call to repentance before divine judgments fall on them and their church buddies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Rev 3:152)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Pet 4:17)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (Heb 12:5\u20136)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
