One each from the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and from the Testimony of Yeshua.\u00a0Each week, the Torah and haftarah readings will follow the traditional one-year reading cycle.<\/p>\n<p><em>Weekly Blog Scripture Readings for 2\/17 through 2\/23\/13.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>** A different Haftarah is read when it is a special sabbath in Jewish tradition. On 2\/23 is the traditional &#8220;<strong>Shabbat Zachor<\/strong>&#8221; (Sabbath of Remembrance), which is the Sabbath just before Purim. This haftarah is read as a reminder on the instruction in Deuteronomy 25:17-19 to not forget to remember what Amalek did and to blot out the remembrance of Amalek. It is read at this time because Haman\u00a0(&#8220;the\u00a0Agagite&#8221;\u00a0Esther 3:1)\u00a0was a descendent of the king of the Amalekites who had been spared by Saul.<\/em><\/p>\n<div
