For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences [Greek: plagues], and earthquakes in various places. (Matt 24:7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Compare Matthew 24:7 to Revelation 6:7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades [i.e. spiritual and physical death] followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth [or “beasts of the field,” which is an Old Testament Hebraism referring “to evil men”].
