{"id":1684,"date":"2012-10-31T08:12:16","date_gmt":"2012-10-31T15:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/?p=1684"},"modified":"2014-08-23T15:48:42","modified_gmt":"2014-08-23T22:48:42","slug":"binding-and-loosing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2012\/10\/31\/binding-and-loosing\/","title":{"rendered":"Binding and Loosing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Matthew 16:17\u201319,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><em>Bind \u2026 loose. <\/em><\/strong>Yeshua clearly gave the authority of the Sanhedrin (the ruling body of Jewish leaders in Ye\u00adshua\u2019s day) over to his apostolic disciples.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2012\/10\/31\/binding-and-loosing\/gavel-4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2117\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2117\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/gavel-4-300x237.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/gavel-4-300x237.png 300w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/gavel-4-379x300.png 379w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/gavel-4.png 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No longer do we need to look to the authority of the religious Jewish leaders for determining how to obey YHVH, nor for making rulings pertaining to religious service. First, there is no Sanhedrin today to tell us these things. Second, in Matthew 16:17\u201319, Yeshua clearly transferred to his apostles\u2014the church leaders of that time\u2014the authority of the Sanhedrin to make judicial rulings and decisions about spiritual matters pertaining to his <em>kahal <\/em>(the congregation or church). This authority would include making determinations about the biblical calendars.<\/p>\n<p>No longer, does the <em>kahal<\/em> of Yeshua have to wait for a Jewish Sanhedrin to form to tell them how to follow the Word of Elohim with regard to the biblical calendar or any other subjects for that matter. Today, the spiritual apostolic leaders of the saints can simply teach and do what the Bible says, and heaven will honor or endorse their decisions (called &#8220;binding&#8221; and &#8220;loosing&#8221;)!
