{"id":11477,"date":"2017-11-08T06:15:56","date_gmt":"2017-11-08T14:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/?p=11477"},"modified":"2017-11-08T06:15:56","modified_gmt":"2017-11-08T14:15:56","slug":"prophetic-allusions-to-yeshua","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2017\/11\/08\/prophetic-allusions-to-yeshua\/","title":{"rendered":"More Prophetic Allusions to Yeshua and the Ruach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Genesis 24:4, <i>Take a wife for my son Isaac.<\/i><\/b> Some Bible students see in Abraham\u2019s sending Eliezer his servant an allegory of our Heavenly Father choosing a bride for Yeshua, his Son with the help of the Set-Apart Spirit or Ruach haKadosh.<\/p>\n<p>The analogy goes like this: When speaking to Abraham, YHVH refers to Isaac as \u201cyour only son\u2026whom you love\u201d (Gen 22:2). In this statement, it\u2019s hard to miss the similarity with the well-known John 3:16 passage where Yeshua refers to himself as the only begotten Son whom his Father in heaven loves. Isaac is an obvious prophetic picture of Yeshua in that Abraham sacrificed a ram in place of his only son whom he loved on the very spot where, one thousand years later, the Temple of Solomon would be built and where sacrifices were made to atone for men\u2019s sin. This is the same spot later on where Yeshua himself was condemned to death and not far from there became the Lamb of Elohim who was sacrificed to atone for men\u2019s sins.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the name Eliezer means \u201cmy El helps,\u201d which many see as an allusion to the Set-Apart Spirit who helps or comforts us, and to which Yeshua refers to as the Comforter or Helper (e.g. John 14:16). It is the Set-Apart Spirit that is choosing and preparing a bride from among called and redeemed Israelites for Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of Elohim.<\/p>\n<div class=\"evernoteSiteMemory\"><a href=\"javascript:\" onclick=\"Evernote.doClip({title: 'More Prophetic Allusions to Yeshua and the Ruach',url: 'https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2017\/11\/08\/prophetic-allusions-to-yeshua\/',contentID: 'post-11477',suggestTags: 'Eliezer,Holy Spirit,Isaac,Yeshua',providerName: 'Hoshana Rabbah Blog',styling: 'text' });return false\" class=\"evernoteSiteMemoryLink\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.evernote.com\/article-clipper.png\" \nclass=\"evernoteSiteMemoryButton\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\t\t\t\t<div class=\"evernoteSiteMemoryClear\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Genesis 24:4, Take a wife for my son Isaac.
