Slander is defined as making false or damaging statements about someone. The Torah keeps returning to the subject of \u201cgossip, slander and other forms of selfish and antisocial behavior\u201d (<em>The<\/em>\u00a0<em>ArtScroll<\/em> <em>Stone Edition Chumash<\/em>, p. 1060).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/2012\/06\/23\/slander-and-skin-disease\/mouth-3-22073742\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1009\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1009\" style=\"border-width: 0px;\" title=\"Mouth 3-22073742\" src=\"http:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Mouth-3-22073742-194x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"194\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Mouth-3-22073742-194x300.jpg 194w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Mouth-3-22073742-663x1024.jpg 663w, https:\/\/hoshanarabbah.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/Mouth-3-22073742.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 194px) 100vw, 194px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Obviously such activity was a problem then as it continues to be now. It can literally destroy human relationships, families, marriages, ministries and congregations.<\/p>\n<p>The interesting things is that those committing such sins usually fail to admit they are doing it, yet such is all too clear to those who are their victims.
