Hmm? What do you think? Please tell us…

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” – Matthew 10:16

Christians are losing because of their lack of wisdom. Let me explain.

A lesbian couple sued and won a discrimination lawsuit against Christian farm owners Robert and Cynthia Gifford of New York after they refused to allow a same-sex wedding on their scenic property.

Despite the fact that the Christian business owners have hosted same-sex events and have even hired homosexuals, a New York judge ruled that they were in violation of that state’s anti-discrimination laws and fined them $13,000. As a result, the Giffords have now stopped hosting weddings altogether.

According to their attorney, “The couple has decided to stay true to their religious convictions, even though it will likely hurt their business.”

That’s unfortunate. Too many Christians lack real wisdom when dealing with evil; and as a result, they are losing their livelihoods and suffering unnecessarily.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Consider this …

What if, instead of closing their businesses, the Christians agreed to allow the same-sex union ceremonies on their property, but told the lesbian couple upfront that they would take their money and donate it to a conservative Christian law firm to fight against same-sex marriage? In other words, what if they took the sinners’ money and used it for good?

  1. I lovethe author’s idea and the following passage came to mind while reading the article:
    Deu 23:20
20 “You may charge a foreigner interest, but you may not charge your brother interest, that the Lord your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. (ESV)”

  2. Well than what does 2 Corinthians 6:13-18 say.Do not be bound together with unbelievers, for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness. 17. Therefore come out from their midst and be separate, says the Lord. And do not tough what is unclean; and I will welcome you. It is alot to think about, my husband works for a very evil company and they do very wrong things, and it makes us a living, it is how we eat and pay bills and keep going. He does not agree with how they do things, but if he opens his mouth he wont have a job there. Let me tell you he does alot of praying there and seeking YHVH for help. We have not been in any job where it has not been this way and he has been working 50 years. He has searched for better jobs and righteousness people to work with and be with, and we have not found that. So we are in the same boat as these people who dont wont to do weddings for the same sex couple. If they dont there business will fail and all they have worked for. What would it be if all the righteous people poulled there money to pay for evil lawyers to get them out of this trap? This is a very hard question, will we stand with our Father and trust him are will we try to figure this out in our own mind. If you dont work, you dont eat. The people in Israel had to work for the Pharoh who was a very evil man, if they didnt they didnt live. I think this is satan at work, and he has many people in this same boat, from doctors to lawyers to just plain good hard working people and even preachers and priest. What will be do when the 666 comes will we take it to stay alive are will we finally trust the Father. My educated son says use there own money against them, but I would rather stand with YHVH, it makes you see trust is so much harder than we can ever believe. Do you stand with your government in there evil things, do you give to Ceasor what is his, this is a huge question. Can you answer this Mr. Nathan. Thanks for the hard question, but I have no answer.

    • I can not wait to re think about this I can not accept it with a gay nor Serbian. Its only when we compete with the people around us those strayed from the truth faith. You need not to do that its like bringing the money of an harlot or proceed from dog sales.

      • You are right, the Father took me to 1 Peter 2:11-25, his answers are always the right and true ones. Verse 12 but to live such good lives among the pagans that even though they now speak against you as evil doers, they will, as a result of seeing your good actions, give glory to God on the Day of his comming. 13. For the sake of the Lord, submit yourselves to every human authority-where to the emperor as being supreme, 14. or to governors as being sent by him to punish wrongdoers and praise those who do what is good.. 15. For it is God’s will that doing good should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people..16 Submit as people who are free, but not letting your freedom serve as an excuse for evil; rather, submit as God’s slaves. 17. Be respectful to all–keep loving the brotherhood, fearing God and honoring the emperor. And on down to verse 25. We must trust God and keep on doing good no matter what we lose, our health or business, or money are what ever. 25. For you used to be like sheep gone astray but now you have turned to the Shepherd, who watches over you. He never said it would be easy, but we must follow Him.

      • It seems, in a sense, that one would be condoning the heathen’s behavior by baking them their wedding cake, taking their wedding photos or whatever. For me, if I had to do that, it would be a hard pill to swallow. However, if you donated the proceeds to law firm who actively fights homosexual marriage, then I think I might be able to “suck it up” for the greater good and do it. You to this once or twice, and I doubt you’d be getting any more homosexual clients! Even they’d be smart enough to take their business elsewhere, or at least you’d think.
It appears that the homosexuals are purposely patronizing Christian businesses in order to press the issue of “gay rights” and to make a public example of the Bible believers. It’s like Islamists beheading Christians to strike fear into the hearts of their opponents. Same demonic and intolerant spirit that wants to kill, steal and destroy to further its ungodly agendas. By turning the tables on them, however, you’re fighting fire with fire —— being wise as a serpent, yet harmless as a dove as Yeshua said.
It’s a tough one to be sure, but then war with a murderous enemy is always tough for a peace-loving people.

    • Jane, 2 Corinthians 6:13-18 really has nothing to do with doing “business” with pagans, and the Deuteronomy passage should have been clear enough to demonstrate that “doing business” with the lost, pagans, evil, etc., is not wrong or immoral and the Almighty instructed us how to “do business” with those not in the family of the Almighty. The 2 Corinthians passage is likely about false apostles who were opposing the Apostle Paul (Sha’ul) and his call to others to not take part in their rejection of his authority, since he is the one the Almighty used to bring them the good news of Messiah. Also, we are in the world but not of it. Even Messiah Yeshua had dealings with the evil ones of the world, this present age. Obviously we cannot avoid all contact and interactions with those outside the covenant, but we must allow Yeshua and the Almighty Father to be seen and revealed by our godly behavior. Love and Shalom in Messiah Yeshua!

    • I agree with Scott’s comments on 2 Cor 6:13-18. Regarding whether to do business with homosexuals if it makes it appear that one is putting one’s stamp of approval on their abominable practices, this is something each individual must lay before YHVH and seek wisdom and guidance on. For some people, this something that’s acceptable to do — for the greater good. For others, it’d violate their conscience. The Bible says that whatever is not of faith is sin. In this case, we must listen to our Holy Spirit guided conscience.

Sometimes, the Torah allows us to violate a lesser Torah command in favor of a greater Torah command (for the the greater good). For example, it’s all right to violate the Shabbat’s command not to work in order to pull your neighbor’s ox out of the ditch. Some would even reason that it’s all right to lie if it means saving a life. We have to be very careful when we start down this path, and be certain that we’re being led by the Spirit and Word of Elohim, or else we might find ourselves justifying all kinds of sin.

With regard to the government/NWO/Babylon the Great system that’s coming down on us like a ton of bricks, everyone will have to figure out for himself where to draw the line in the sand past which he won’t go. Some will draw that line closer in, some further out. We must respect another’s decision, since we’re not in his shoes. No one can make that decision for the next guy. It’s a matter of conscience, the leading of the Spirit, the amount of spiritual light we have and how we understand or interpret the Scriptures. This is an individual thing. Sorry, but there’s no easy answers to your questions. When we get there, and stuff hitting the fan, we’ll have a better understanding of things, and at that time, I believe the Holy Spirit will give us the wisdom, faith, and holy boldness to stand up for and walk out righteousness so that we won’t love our lives even unto death.

      Blessings!

  3. I’m not sure about that I would have to ask God and see what he thinks, thats a tricky question because were still dealing with them, good one though..

  4. This is something to seriously pray for guidance on. I say shame the enemy and they will flee eventually. I will not however marry them as a ordained minister; holding a food event that might be different. I like his idea of taking the profits and doing something good for the kingdom. Shalom
