Yeshua…A Prophet Like Moses (Does the Church Really Teach This?)

Deuteronomy 18:15, A prophet from your midst, like me, shall YHVH your Elohim raise up for you. Obviously, this was fulfilled in the person of Yeshua the Messiah. The non-believing Jews, however, attempt to prove that this verse does not apply to Yeshua. For example, The ArtScroll Stone Edition Chumash in its commentary states, “Moses told the nation that just as he was one of them, so God would designate future prophets [plural] from among the people to bring them his word” (p. 1033, emphasis added). What is wrong with this statement? Is the verse quoted accurately? Moses said “prophet” singular, not “prophets” plural, as the commentary says. So in this manner, the commentators switch the focus off of one single prophet who would arise, and make it appear as if all the prophets recorded in the Scriptures helped to fulfill this prophecy. This is dishonest biblical interpretation.

Moses' shining face

On another note, does the Christian “Jesus” who, it is taught by many church leaders, broke the Sabbath and came to do away with the Torah-law of Moses fulfill this prophecy? Didn’t Moses say that the prophet would speak only the words that Elohim would give him (and the implication is that those words would not contradict what was given at Mount Sinai)? So did Yeshua come to do away with the Torah-law or not? (Read Matt 5:17–19.) In commissioning his disciples in Matthew 28:20, didn’t Yeshua tell them to do and to pass on to others all that he had commanded them? Didn’t Paul tell us to, “Follow me as I follow the Messiah” (1 Cor 11:1)? So how is it that so many people in Christianity believe otherwise about Messiah Yeshua and Paul relative to their teachings on the Torah-law? The point we are trying to make here is that the “Jesus” of the Sunday church who, it is taught, came to annul the Torah, does not fit the criteria of this prophecy of Deuteronomy 18:15–19. Either the Torah prophecy is wrong and Christian tradition is correct or it is the other way around. We choose the former to be the truth, not the latter!

  1. Moses was a great prophet chosen by the LORD to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt. There comes one like Moses who shall deliver the children out of Babylon in a Second Exodus. Moses spoke of one like him to come.

The mystery is in the SYMBOLIC prophecy concerning Joshua & Zerubbabel as prophesied in Haggai and Zechariah. They, Joshua and Zerubbabel, themselves were not to fulfill the prophecies spoken of them but rather two men who would come in the future from their lifetime to do so. “Joshua” the high priest was to be crowned first, then “Zerubbabel” was to become God’s signet “in that day”.

Yeshua fulfilled the “Joshua” prophecy. That is what is meant by the following:

Acts 3:28 (NKJV) – “To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

If there is a “first”, then there is a “second”. Who comes second?

The “seed of Babylon” (meaning of Zerubbabel’s name) will be a child born in end-time Babylon and is referred to as the “chosen man” in Jeremiah 50:44-46. He will fulfill the “Zerubbabel” prophecy and will be a prophet like Moses. How do I know this? Read Jeremiah 50:44-46. “Surely the least of the flock shall DRAW THEM OUT”. What does the name of Moses mean?

Exodus 2:10 (NKJV) – “And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. So she called his name Moses, saying, “Because I drew him out of the water.”

    Moses – “Drawn Out”

Now Joshua/Yeshua/Yehoshua/Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father crowned with majesty, glory, and authority as a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek …WAITING FOR RESTORATION AND FOR HIS ENEMIES TO BE MADE INTO HIS FOOTSTOOL!

Matthew 28:18 (NKJV) – “18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Acts 3:19-21 (NKJV) – “19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.”

ACTION REQUIRED: Restoration of all things!

    ACTOR REQUIRED: A prophet/messenger!

Acts 3:22 (NKJV) – “For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.”

He and his brother will be the two witnesses…just like Moses and Aaron. What has been done will be done again for there is nothing new under the sun.

They must lead the children (Zion) out of Babylon for she is about to be utterly destroyed!

Micah 4:10 (NKJV) – “10 Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, Like a woman in birth pangs. For now you shall go forth from the city, You shall dwell in the field, And to Babylon you shall go. There you shall be delivered; There the LORD will redeem you From the hand of your enemies.”

Jeremiah 51:33 (NKJV) – “For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: “The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor When it is time to thresh her; Yet a little while And the time of her harvest will come.”

Zechariah 2:7 (NKJV) – “Up, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.”

Then the children will take a journey on ships across the sea, into the wilderness, to Horeb, to the land promised to their fathers, and then to Jerusalem where the two will prophesy to the world. If the kings of this earth refuse to submit their kingdoms to the Kingdom of God and its rightful King, then the two will call down plagues on them.
